G6 exhaust options

Featured Replies

Yeah I'll have to see if my Droid Incredible can do a good before/after vid because I know my camera mic sucks. I've tried many-a-times to get that thing to do an exhaust vid, NO CHANCE haha. Yeah, I'm excited, was thinking headers too, but I won't do that until I do the RWD set up.. then I'll go with a set of 93 camaro custom headers. that'll be nice :D but for future reference -- where can I go to find a good AND cheap catless downpipe for the stock size LX9 exhaust set up?

GM V6 - cat = SES light

Keep the stock piping, it's 2.3/4" IIRC, that's more than enough.

Yeah, a buddy of mine and myself were discussing reprogramming it so the light wouldn't come on for that.. he goes to DCTC guess they have all sorts of that BS there? I'm good with fabricating not the king of performance haha... but have learned from a few what sounds good and what doesn't. Mine may be 2 3/4... was pretty sure I was sitting at 2 1/2 but I haven't been under the van in a year and a half. Excited though, I love when new mods and things come to mind :D

Well, here is my old exhaust, it had the large catalyic converter in the center cut out with a straight pipe welded on, that went into a Silverline Muffler Here are some crappy vids of how it sounded... It was really deep sounding, not ricey at all, if you don't believe me, you can as 1BADG6GT, as he has heard it personally.
