  1. Yeah it's really nice to talk with everyone again! I just found out within the last week, that I'm buying my first house! I was pre approved and put in our offer today and I'm really hoping they'll accept!! My offer was 5,000 over they're price but I'm asking them to pay closing costs so we'll see how it goes!
  2. Thats a little steep for me right now haha maybe if someone offered me the 18,500 I'm asking for the Aura haha, but otherwise considering we're looking to buy a house, I wouldn't be able to buy it right now :/ always loved that car though haha.
  3. I would like it, yes! It's a bit of a distance though haha... what're you looking to get for that thing? You actually planning on selling it?
  4. So, I know it's been a while but I've been lurking! Miss conversating with you guys all the time, but have been through a LOT that has limited my time to sit around and mess around on a computer. The last couple months I've gotten back into working on the cars and I just wanted to sign on for a change and say HELLO! In the last 8 months, life has been on an EXTREMELY curvy road for this guy. I believe the last time I posted was right around the same time I bought the 95 Neon and the 08 Aura XR. A ton has happened since then. Mid July my Mom met a guy who threw a big wrench in things. For some reason she couldn't find a way to let him go, but he was extremely controlling and allowed her to spend nearly no time with the family. She disappeared for a short while and the only time we heard from her at all was when she wanted our money for the bills we have that are in her name. I very rarely had seen her around home so I was never sure if the bills were getting paid, if the lights, water, or the natural gas were going to be on the next day to cook breakfast. Right around this same time I lost my job that I had worked at for 3 1/2 years. I was working two jobs at the time so I was able to swing the new car payment okay without my Supervalu job, but was spending a lot of extra time pushing auto work out of the garage and started up a small lawn care business of my own to last me the rest of the summer. Aside from those small incomes, I started working for Jiffy Lube as a temporary job. They were minimum wage so I knew I wasn't going to last long there, but I needed a legitimate paycheck to come through for a while so I could feel like a normal person again not just throwing cash around for everything. Finally I got a job as a Full Time Installer at Tires Plus here in town and since then, life has slowly worked it's way back to normal. For about 5 months it was just Des and myself living at my mom's house. My brother recently moved back and my mom is moving back tomorrow. With how things have slowly returned to normal I'm planning to do as I've really been hoping to do since last Spring. I'm starting to talk to a loan officer and we've been discussing our possibility of buying a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house about 15 minutes away from here. It's bank owned with all new carpeting, windows, insulation, and lighting. The only thing it appears to need is a bit of roof work which is not a big deal for a person with family like mine that builds and remodels houses for a living. NOW -- after my page long story of why I've been absent and missing you all, for the fun stuff! I still have the minivan, the Aura, and the Neon. Des and I are still together and going strong bout 3 years together now! Recently, the van has had virtually no work or mods done besides getting a nice new set of tires. The Aura on the other hand still has extremely low miles around like 26k, not too much use out of it, mainly just to putts around town until this last week. I've been wanting to do mods to that car since I bought it. FINALLY got some stuff done last week. It's needed tires because those Good Years that GM has on every new vehicle are junk, so I got a nice set of those on yesterday. Also, pulled the stock air box off and threw a Spectre filter on the end of the intake which looks and performs nicely. For the most fun part, the muffler delete. It sounds AMAZING. And for the Neon, I still have that too. Pulled the motor out and regasketed the motor, got a different transmission for it, and I have to get a clutch for it and throw it back together. No big story there haha Sorry for the long story to start with but I felt I had to explain my absence. So glad to be back! That's it for now, more to come soon. Again, Glad to be back!
  5. Really happy to see you get another GTO Mark! The next time you head back this way we'll have to meet up.
  6. My only real "debt" is the fact that the Saturn and the van I'm making payments on. Truck's tires are on a payment plan. Although I think I might let the Bronco go for a cheap $1500 with the brand new $800 tires on it. Our insurance just came up they want 6 months up front and with 4 cars on there, 2 being full coverage for the loans, I have to pay $2g. That's not too bad really but it's still a hit to the chest haha. I started my own business so soon enough I might be investing in 2 more trucks, but these 2 would have plows, strength and importance etc. etc. Anywho, no debt just a collection I love it. I'm almost to the point of one car per day, except Des drives the Saturn so I don't really get to enjoy it lol
  7. yeah, I love them so much that I guess I'm buying another one. My buddy gave me a call and told me if I pay his phone bill for a while I can have his. Another 95, nearly fully rebuilt motor, newly installed RT 5 speed trans... has an electrical problem that makes it so we can't get it started haha. I'm going to pick up an aftermarket computer and do up a custom wiring harness so we can make it run haha. It's a forest green (same color) sedan. I'm starting my own neon collection I guess lol, guy I know not too far from me has owned 43 of them!
  8. I personally have my van, my truck and the neon. Des and I share the Saturn but if you've ever shared with a lady, you'll understand that I don't see the inside of that car too often. The neon actually accelerates really well even with my two 200+ lb buddies in the back seat and Des and I up front. Might I add those friends are 6'2" and 6'4" and they're seated comfortably with room to spare. This car is more of a small project car. I make 30 mpg easily and there's so much that can be done. Currently I've planned to fix the body rot on driver's rear wheelwell, new transmission and new clutch. OH and a radio.
  9. Forgot to mention the 4 wheel disc brakes the brakes are amazing. The trans isn't the best but my budd's got the ACR trans and EFF that. He went from getting 43 MPG to getting 15. No thanks haha although I wouldn't mind going with the 2.0 DOHC, this one was converted back to a SOHC. I love the ACR components but the costs are worth more than two of my 4 vehicles parked in my driveway haha. Like I said I love it! but, they're good fun cheap cars. I'm going to put in a clutch out of a PT cruiser because they're a little stronger. Can't wait to update the car though, it's so much fun to drive and I can take corners at like 40 when I wouldn't normally take them at 20 haha
  10. So I guess I decided to join the crowd. Know a couple guys around here that are Neon crazy and they finally talked me into one. I drove my friend Brandon's around a few times and fell in love with it. Finally found my own, Forest Green 1995 Plymouth Neon Sport Coupe. 2.0L 5spd. 3rd gear gives a little grind when shifting in because the synchros are going, but a new trans will fix that for me . Driven the car 4 days now and love it, haven't been nice to it yet besides washing it, and the worst I've gotten is 26.8 MPG haha For the pics: Current Mods: Custom Intake 2nd Gen seats Projector headlights Short Throw Shifter 35% Window Tint I love it! It's no Pontiac but it's so fun
  11. I wish my Regal would've been in condition like this. I don't usually like the 4dr early GP's but this one's pretty nice... I like what you've done although I agree with everyone on those wheels, they're nice but I think they'd really fit in white and I like the look of those motor mounts, I'd like to see a set of those for the minivan... hmm... one's torn on there anyways, maybe looking forward to a new fix for it
  12. That sounds like fun. I might come Friday and leave Sunday/Monday. Not sure yet. I'm no drinker plus only 19 yrs old but I'm down to go have some fun :-)
  13. We keep whips waxed weekly stupids. Haha glad to hear that works, when I was in high school people messed with my stuff all the time. Thankfully no paint I woulda been killing someone haha. You got leather in that thing?
  14. My apologies on the year -- had been working on the shirts on two different computers for 2+ hours and it was late and I'd been up working for 2+ days... will fix the error and re-post image. I've got an order for the shirts. After they come it's just a matter of doing the embroidering, either way I love the shirts so they'll be worn. years fixed, again I apolize.
