Remote Oil Filters

Featured Replies

I was under my car last week and noticed how close the oil filter was to the exhaust manifolds I purchased from Ram Air Restorations.

Butler said it should not be a problem, what is the consensus here?

I run Ram Air Reproduction exhaust manifolds on my 455 in my '72 Lemans. I have the oil filter in the stock location - I've had no problems. That's my two cents.

While adding more oil to the system is never a bad thing.  But the original filter connection, 2 connections on both hoses and the new filter connection gives you 6 lottery chances at a new oil leak for a remote oil filter.  You may not ever have a problem....Justa sayin
