Sounds like a great time to be the North East this year. Have a great time and send lots of pictures. If you run into Larry Crider or Ron Berglund at the POCI convention, tell them I said hello. This will be Larry's last year as president I believe.

Hi All, I don't make too many posts here, but this might be of interest for those of you in the North East. Saturday, June 26th 9AM - 2 PM is a Pontiac Car show at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway Museum. More detail : https://www.nemsmuseum.com/articles.html?n_id=568 Just bought 4 tires to replace the 4 with 2003 date codes so I can make this trip with a few less worries. Then in July, the POCI National Convention is the 11th through the 15th in Connecticut at the Mohegan Sun. I will be there Monday and Tuesday. Not entering my 66 Grand Prix in any of the judging but I will be set up in the Flea Market. I really want to take the GP but it will be heat/weather dependent as the wife is coming along. See POCI.ORG for more detail. Ken

Hi Jim I don't know any mechanics in your area but I would refer you to Ray Decrescenzo ([email protected] 518-857-2468), Ray lives in Clifton Park NY. He is president of the Mohawk Valley Chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International (POCI). He or his membership may have a local referral for you.

So did you do the Mother Road trip? Down Route 66? If so, how was it? -

Very cool. You will have to tell us all about your trip down the Mother Road. Oh and don't skimp on the pictures. You know how we love pictures! The Hackberry General Store (in Hackberry - west of Kingman) is very cool stop as well as feeding the wild burros in Oatman Az. The restored Standard Oil gas station in Odell Illinois is also pretty cool. -

As a retired air force guy myself. Unless, your in the system a person will never know the exact cause of the crash since that will be kept under wraps. Yes, the F-15 is a great aircraft and very old and it's still out there due to it's performance and maneuverability. But, only with guard and reserve not active duty. The F-16 is a very old bird as well. I hate that we lost yet another good pilot to an accidental malfunction in what ever system caused the crash.

F-15C from 104th Fighter Wing of Mass ANG crashes in VA.
havoc1482 replied to havoc1482's topic in New England's Discussion
I can't find any definite information about it, but I know why: That investigation is on the backburner because the USAF won't admit that the F-15 fleet is aging. There have been 7 F-15 crashes since 2011. 23 crashes between 2000 and 2009. Most of them with experienced pilots. The F-15 is a Cold War era machine. -

That is sad news Havoc. I am sorry to hear the Lt. Col didn't make it. What caused the plane to go down? What was the reason for the failure of the ejection seat? Poor maintenance? -

A little late on this, but if you didn't know the pilot didn't survive. Lt. Col. Morris "Moose" Fontenot Jr was unable to eject from his F-15 due to a failure of his ejection system. He was flying to New Orleans for a radar upgrade. Among the crew at Barnes ANG base that serviced his plane, including the ejection systems, prior to the flight was one of my friends. He beat himself up pretty badly over it. -

Havoc - any update on this situation? Was the pilot found? Is he alive or is he consider MIA? -
They said snow, so you know what that means...
