  1. Some of us have to WORK for a living On a dump run Got cheated out of a Route 66 trip this summer due to COVID. I was 66 this year and going on 66 in a 66 Catalina. Was going to be magical. Ha Ha
  2. The conversion is easy My kit did not even require removing the spidles Go with a MAJOR company for your kit I went with a small co and the bolt on products were great but I had a problem with the bower brake booster The brakes kept dragging I changed brake booster 4 times to get it right Company was very helpful but I felt like I was on their research and development team I have a 5 bolt design If you wish to improve braking and maintain the stock look of eight lug hubs you may want to try using one organic brake pad and one metallic on the same hub This was done on 1955-1961 mercedes 190 sl they had both compounds on the same shoe I cant remember which was in front. By putting one metallic and one organic in each hub you should have the same effect Check your brakes more frequently as the organic shoe will wear faster Call 203 993-0313

  6. Hi I'm fatcat1966. I'm an old fool on a mission. While rebuilding the engine on my 1966 Catalina convertible I had an idea that as I am turning 66 in the summer that I want to take my 66 down Rte 66 when I'm 66........ Thinking of late summer early fall to beat the heat. Rte 66 (the mother road) runs from Chicago to L.A. Anyone familiar with it please give me suggestions where to stop what to see etc. Also can I extend an invitation to other dreamers/fools/vagabonds who might like to join in in any part of it?
