Stratman - is this stuff from the folks that gave you a complete detailing in Charleston WV or is this someone else’s products? Just curious.
Different folks. I liked the products I got in Charleston, but Chemical Guys stuff seems a lot better to me.

We've missed you bro. So what's going on with Raven?
Got a hole in the radiator. It is an unknown aftermarket aluminum radiator (was in it when I bought it), it took awhile to find someone who could weld it. Got her back last week, so far so good.

Dang, that’s purty right there though!
Guess I shouldn't complain... I could be in Florida!

Thanks JUSTA! I am doing well, but my TA not so well, been in and out of the shop. But life is good for me right now, hopefully I will pop in on FP more often.

Thanks for the help. I have the car and will be looking for that number tomorrow. Another question. I’m looking for a good site to decode the data plate. I’ve been on three different sites and none of them seem to look exactly like my plate. Any idea why that would be and maybe a reference for a new site. Thanks again for your help.
In addition to decoding your data plate, you should send your VIN to PHS Services to get a copy of the original invoice to see exactly what options were on your GTO when it left the factory. Money well spent.

There are two stamp pads on the front of the engine block. On one side you have a nine digit number that starts with a "2" (for Pontiac), "8" (for 1968), "R" (for Arlington TX plant) with the remaining six digits being the last six numbers of the cars VIN. This is a pic from my late great 1968 GTO...
You can see they match the last eight numbers of the VIN (highlighted in yellow)...
The pad on the other side of the front of the block has the engine production number and a two letter code that identifies the engine and the transmission (manual or automatic). Mine was a "WS" code for 400 HO/manual...

Went to a "trunk or treat" car show in Winchester VA last Sunday. The weather was beautiful and there were over 200 cars. As usual for shows in my neck of the woods, there were only a handful of Pontiacs. Also, as usual, you could create a separate Camaro and Chevelle show. lol!
Anyway... here is a slideshow of a few of the cars, in no particular order other than I put the Pontiacs at the beginning.
The first two slides are my 1981 TA, "Raven".

Nice!! I had a ‘68 many years ago, love these cars.

Gorgeous!

Ringo...
If you are still wondering what you are going to do with them, how about some sort of contest for one of them (you keep the rest of course)? Might generate more folks on FP...

She’s a beauty!
I would like to run 17” snowflakes on my ‘81 TA. Are those the 9” wide wheels and what size tire are you running? -
Great pictures Frosty!

Beautiful Bonnie! Looking at the options I can see, it has to be a rare beast... convertible, 421 tri-power, 4 speed, eight lug wheels, tach, vacuum gauge, power windows, arguably the best color combination.

Thank you and keep up the good work Ringo! Looking forward to the next ten years buddy!

On a brighter note, if you're ever up for a road trip either with or without Raven, us car people in mid / south-east Michigan (and some beyond) already have Back to the Bricks & Woodward Dream Cruise on our calendars for this coming August - just sayin' 😉

Very happy that you got Raven and back in the Pontiac game

Thanks guys. I am so blessed to have such good friends, even ones I have never met like you all.

I had many highs and lows in the 2010s with Pontiac and life. Here they are in chronological order...
September 2013: Took delivery of the greatest car I have ever or will ever own... A fully restored, documented numbers matching, triple black, 400 HO, 4-speed 1968 GTO. Named her Black Betty that day! Her she is as she arrived that glorious day...
August 2014: Black Betty won many trophies at local car shows and cruise-ins, but the proudest moment came at the 2014 Susquehanna GTO's All Pontiac Show in Landisville PA. If I remember right, there were close to 200 Pontiacs. Black Betty was class "D" 1964 - 1974 Stock GTO... there were 17 beautiful restored GTOs from many east coast states in the class. Black Betty won Best In Class!
2015 and 2016 were horrible. My dear wife Nancy was diagnosed with stage three cancer in March 2015 and passed in July 2016. Had to sell Black Betty to keep up with the bills. As much as we love our Pontiacs, they are just metal and rubber and pale in comparison when your wife of 38 years is dying of cancer. I sold it with no regrets.
July 2019: I returned to the Pontiac fold when I purchased a black 1981 4- speed Trans Am (after swearing I would NEVER buy another black car, lol!). Named her Raven .
October 2019: I went to the biggest car show (just short of 800 cars) in WV. It is in Charleston WV and they biock off one of the main drags for over a mile and the cars park on both sides of the street. I got to finally meet Frosty and he set me up with a primo parking spot as he is one of the grand poobahs of this event. Spent three days there, got a free detail from one of the venders. I look forward to going again this year.

I recognize one of them there windshield stickers for some strange reason! LOL!
I kept your secret about the fender scratch, you ratted yourself out !!!!
I'm glad you had great weather to go play. It got to almost 50 degrees this weekend. Time to put up Christmas decorations but not to go cruising in Michigan sadly.
Lucy is still down for the count. I'm hoping to find some time this coming weekend to wrench on her a little, if the weather isn't too miserable. Right now, it ain't looking too good weather-wise.
Thanks for not ratting me out Frosty, but it is hard to ignore so I needed to confess, lol!
I keep the registration sticker from Charleston because it reminds me of the great time I had that weekend. Hard to predict the future, but I definitely want to go again next year.
