  1. The worlds smallest guitar.

    http://www.news.cornell.edu/releases/July97/guitar.ltb.html

thought some of you might find it cool or interesting.

Well... they've really limited themselves to a niche market with it being all "goth" looking and left-handed. Also, what's with those bass pickups?

What it needs is a Strat neck with a humbucker and two single coils like this fine looking Stratocaster...

...or two humbuckers like this awesome American Strat HH hardtail.

  2. Most of the cars, I don't like, but the new Regal is pretty dang nice. I suggest actually looking into it. It's nice for a compact car like that.

I know, I know... I've read it's a really nice car for the money. It's just going to take a while for me to get over this hatred of Buick. Now maybe if they were to use the Camaro platform and come out with modern version of the '70 GSX or '87 GN... ...oops, sorry!

  3. The fact that GM did not try to sell Pontiac (like Saturn and Hummer), leaves me with one tiny eensy-weensy shread of hope that it still may be on life support and could be revived in some limited fashion.

BTW (mild rant coming,lol)... since we're talking about the death of Pontiac, why wasn't Buick charged with "accessory to manslaughter"?!! IMHO, no matter how "cool" they try to be, they are still stupid looking and they will always be the evil sibling who laughed as the good son died.

  4. I like what they did to the grand am gives me hope and more ideas for mine (not that i will steal the ideas cuz i have plenty of my own) but still very great.

The Judge was very breath taking!!!

    Thank you for the pics!

I see that there are a lot of Grand Am's on Forever Pontiac, so I'll try to get more Grand Am pics this year. Here is the only other Grand Am pic- it's a row of them at the GM Nationals in Carlisle, Pa. last year.

(BTW, your avatar appears to be a PRS Tremonti... do you play?)

  5. Very cool! Good to know, I love that car. Amazing accents to that color really make it nice!

On behalf of Ungerdog, thank for those encouraging comments! We wanted the car to flow and not look like a bunch of random aftermarket parts tacked on, so we planned what we wanted to do before the first mod. It took two years, as time and money (modding a G6 is way down on there on that list, lol) would allow, to get where it is now. Except for drilled and slotted rotors, we're done with the exterior (although there has been talk of a 2009.5 spoiler... ). Interior is next, as all that's been done is a set of Lloyd's mats with a blue "G6" embroidered on them.

Anyway, we love to go to Pontiac shows! Ungerdog's 6 is almost always the only G6 there, so they usually put in a class with late model GTO's and G8's. Even so, it got a second in class at one show, and an "Award of Excellence" at the GM Nationals in Carlisle, Pa. last year. But mainly, it's just fun to show the car, look at all the other fine Pontiacs, and talk to the owners. There are a lot of really nice people in the Pontiac community. When somebody who just spent $100,000 on a Judge restoration comes by and says how much he likes your humble G6, it as good as a trophy any day!

  6. For years, this 1986 Grand Prix 2+2 has been sitting in an auto junkyard not too far from where I live. Whenever I pass by this junkyard, I look to see if it's still there, but I never stopped it really look at it. Well... about a week ago, I just happened to have my camera in the car as I passed the junkyard. This time I stopped and took some pictures. It looks like it's all there- I guess the owners know it's rare and apparently haven't allowed anyone to pick parts off it. Except for the weathered paint and the headliner coming down, it appears to be in remarkable shape for sitting in the same spot for ages.

I'm no expert by any means, but this is what I've found out about these cars:

    1. Produced one year only (1986).

    2. Only 1,118 made.

    3. The only reason it was made at all was to qualify it for NASCAR.

    4. One color choice: silver and charcoal gray two-tone.

    5. One engine/transmission choice: an anemic 165 hp 305 ci with a 4-speed auto.

    6. In fact, no options were availible, but it came pretty much fully loaded.

So is it a future classic? It's certainly rare, but with only a pitiful 165 hp, it's definately no muscle car either... what do you think?

  7. stock GM rally rims

    ^^ NOT this! ^^

Do NOT put chevy rally wheels on your Pontiac!

There have been some great suggestions in this post of classic PONTIAC wheels (Rally I, Rally II, body color steelies w/Pontiac "dog dish" hubcaps) and classic aftermarket wheels (Crager S/S, Keystone, Torgue Thrust).

Here are two more suggestions of classic "back-in-the-day" wheels:
