  1. im not to worried about it right now, the v6 will be fairly stock for awhile after its put in, other than a few bolt ons
  2. the tranny from my 2200 will bolt right to 60* V6's
  3. yeah, its the same as what he has on the car, but its bent
  4. it actually almost bolt in place with no frame work at all, just modified mounts
  5. ah ok, well im gonna tear the engine down anyway so theyll be changed
  6. this may sound stupid, but whatsan LIM? i dont know a whole lot about the 60* V6's yet
  7. yeah would do the LNF but it'd be more work than the V6, and i have a severe thing about being different and original with my car, so ecotec is a no go, and i have easy acess to the 3400 more so than eco's
  8. i would go eco but there to common around me, and ill be one of the only v6 swap J's in my area, plus my buddy down the road has a blower for the 3400, wether he will sell it i dont know
  9. yeah you should, were trying to expand nation wide, just opened an ontario chapter recently
  10. meh, ecotecs are to over rated for me, easier to swap? yes, but i want a torque monster of a car, so V6 is the way to go, plus i know where i can get a blower for it
  11. well the sunfire is getting a new power plant this winter, a 3400 V6 let the disscusion begin........lol
  12. yeah i love torque, i wants more!!!!!
  13. gotta love GM lol, push rod power!!
  14. here the link to my dyno run video -
  15. well its working just fine now so im not touching any of that stuff for a while lol
  16. yeah, my buddy who took the video is doing something with it right now, ill post the link when its up
  17. yeah, sorry bout makin ya move everything for me, still getting used to this forum lol
  18. well i finally got the old sunfire on the Dyno, it didnt do to bad for only having a short ram intake and a 56mmTB 1st pull 89.17 HP 109.88 FT lbs of torque 2nd Pull 87.50HP 106.93 Ft lbs of torque 3rd Pull 89.84HP 108.30 Ft lbs of torque
  19. not really any special story to me getting the sunfire, i had a 96 2 door awfulmatic sunfire at the time, really nice, smooth running car, turned out the rear sub-frame was rotten and the car needed ALOT of bodywork(never found out till after buying it) it also go run into by a tractor, so i kept that sunfire to make a buggy out of, and i started looking for another car, so i went to my buddy todd, who owns a dealership and junkyard, and i seen this goldish colored sunfire sitting there, i asked todd about it, its a 98 2door 5spd 2.2L, so i took it for a test drive, and loved it, it handled great, lots of pep, and very comfortable interior, so i asked him how much, he said $1500 inspected, or $800 as is, i payed him $800 and took it as is, its been more than a year since he's seen the car, and its come along way from what it was, Todd even asked me if it was the same sunfire LOL day after i bought it a few dasy ago
  20. i alwasy avoid pot holes lol, but i do have a slight flat sopt on one wheel
  21. yeah, i took it for a good 5min drive and it came back to its old self, runs like a champ again lol
  22. ok so i was cleaning the sunfire, for the show tmrw, and the engine was dirty, so i sprayed it down not thinking and remembered that the engine shouldve been running, but now the sunfire sounds like it has a big loopy cam in it, and it runs a little rough, any ideas what to do?
  23. the 225/45/17's were great until they wore out, the 225/50/17's were too big, they rubbed on the inner fenders, and tore my drivers side one out, and the 205/40/17's were all i could afford right now, plus they are the size i want so i can lower it without rubbing
  24. when i bought the rims they had 225/45/17, i got 225/50/17's because they werent worn out, and now i got the 205/40/17's and yeah, it has the 4x4 ride height atm lol
