  2. Thanks Jedi, the car was originally burgandy and I wanted to be close to it, but I wanted to liven it up a bit. The color was called firemist maroon. I am also uploading all of the pics from my resto project to photobucket, it's slow but working. I'll post a link here when it's done, 176 pics... lol

  4. Nice car! Love the old GPs, I owned a 65 for a while way back when, it was pretty beat up but still a great car. I also owned a 76 and loved that one too.

  6. My dad did mechanic and body work in his own shop in our back yard, he was always into classic and race cars so we always had people with cool cars hanging out at our place. In 1970 I was 12 yrs old and a friend of my dads pulled in driving his new car, it was a 1970 GTO Judge convertible in palladium silver. That was the coolest thing I had ever seen and I instantly fell in love with the 70 GTO. That was what I wanted, I drove quite a few Pontiacs and then, in the mid 80s, a friend of mine was selling his GTO, I bought it immediatly, it was a 70 GTO and rusty underneath because the original owner had driven it in the MN salted roads in the winter. I drove it for a few years and then parked it, in 2007 I tore it completly apart and redid it, now its a blast to drive and show off in.
  7. Not much for mods, the 400 is from a 70 GTO, with #13 heads(RAIII) I did add in 1.65:1 rockers and a RA4 cam, electronic ignition and a set of headers, 3 in duals all the way back and I also put in a Lakewood steel bell and a driveshaft hoop. It has a Muncie close ration and 3:73 rear. I added OEM superduty springs and front and rear sway bars and I have South side Machine lift bars replacing the lower trailing arms. When I redid it I added in power steering from a 71 lemans sport to make it a little more drivable, and front power disk brakes from an aftermarket kit. I'm the 3rd owner of it, I bought it from a friend in the mid 80s for $750. Took that a couple of days after I bought it.
  8. Here ya go. I'm going to try and see if my album from facebook will link, I have it shared with the public. />http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1011470507530.1724.1848044090&type=3
  9. Hey there, I'm Lee from Duluth, MN and I have had Pontiacs for as long as I have been able to have cars. I've had Catalinas, Bonnevilles, Grand Prixs and GTOs/Lemans. I currently only have a 70 GTO left but it's great to get out in it whenever I can.
