Here is the week by week progress of my 1970 TransAm clone build. There are gaps in the weekly schedule because of conflicts in the fabricator's schedule. There are also delays because of shipping the body to a sand blaster and powder coat priming. This is NOT a restoration but a restomod. It started with a 1970 Firebird base model. I am currently in week 87. I will upload a couple of photos for each week of the build. I will add a caption to each photo. The short list of what is in the build: 1970 base Firebird with the trim for a TransAm, front and rear spoilers with wheel flairs. It will be powered by a 525hp LS3 with a 6L80E transmission. 4 corners will have coilover shocks with Willwood 6 piston and 4 piston brakes. The rear suspension with have a narrowed rearend and tubbed to allow 325 tires. The leaf springs are replaced with a 4 link suspension. The instrumentation panel will be replaced with a DAKOTA DIGITAL cluster. A 6 point cage and 22 gallon fuel cell will be added for safety. There will be BRAUM racing seats with 6 point harnesses.

Been restoring my dads 1968 Firebird. He’s owned it since he was 16 bought it for $1000. Me my brother and my dad Stripped it all down to bare metal when me and my brother were in high school in 2007ish and then just the past couple years started in on it again. Just got it out of paint and getting ready to start putting it all together again. Still a lot of work to go but thought I’d share some pics of the journey up to now.

This September is my 41st Anniversary with my 74 GTO. Thanks to Boston Road Collision I restored it completely by December 2012. It's all numbers matching with my personal touches, such as the Sequentilal LED tailights by Digitails in NJ. Missed the car shows this year thanks to Covid-19, but hopefully I'll see you all next year!

Clean ol' Grand Prix. Not a big G body fanatic, but it's a nice Poncho! 301 (which purrs like a kitten) with A/C - 1 owner car.
