  1. The thought has crossed my mind! Pull it apart, stick it in a container and label it as "Parts" lol

    1968 Tempest

Ive already cleaned up the engine a little. A lot of work to be done, here is the starting point!
  3. The bloke I bought it off had the intentions of a GTO clone, but I think Im going to stick with it as a Tempest. With a few aesthetic additions - hood scoop + Tach + Endura bumper to make it look faster than it is 😉 Its a 350 5.7 3 speed auto. Going full GTO clone is waaaay to much of a project to take on, we all know it'll take me 10 years lol and Id much rather have something to drive sooner than that! Im toying with Marimba Red and black interior for the colour, but Im sure i'll change my mind
  4. Thanks! Im sure its a couple of years work ahead of me. Ive got her running - New distributor, new starter and a general tidy up (plugs +wires etc) Timing is still a little off, I suspect that might have something to do with the vacuum advance and the condition of the PCV.... i'll probably be chasing my tail on that one for a while! Ive put in a new booster and master cylinder, so the next step will be getting the brake lines sorted out. I'll knock some discs in the front and keep the drums on the back (any tips on this are very welcome!) The body is structurally in great condition, rust in the foot wells and a little in the trunk but that seems to be it. The guy I bought it off has EVERYTHING and more. Boxes and boxes of fittings. 3 hoods, an extra set of pillarless doors and a second grill/bumper assembly. I'll drop the chrome tempest bumper and find an Endura bumper. So thats the plan I have so far!
  5. Hi all, I have a few extras I need to get rid of, solely to create more cash flow for the parts I need. I have a set of 68 pillarless doors, 3 x 68 tempest/gto hoods and a full grill/bumper for a tempest. I live in western WA. Any ideas on the best place to list these? thanks!
  6. I recently picked up a 1968 GTO clone, based on a Tempest. I’ve worked on cars as a young lad, picking it back up as I now have a little more cash than I did then! looking for advice on a few thing which are probably common knowledge to most of you, but is above my pay grade!
