Way back yonder in time, Infiniti offered America only its Q50 sedan with a naturally aspirated V-6 that either was or wasn’t connected to a hybrid system, depending on model. The epoch we refer to was the long-ago time known as the 2015 model year. Now, choice has come to your Infiniti dealer, in the guise of three distinct powerplants driving either two or four wheels, and Nissan’s luxury brand has just released pricing for both the turbocharged four-cylinder model and the hybrids.


A Q50 carrying the 2.0-liter turbo four starts at $34,855 for a base, RWD model. Standard features include eight-way-adjustable power front seats, 17” aluminum wheels, Infiniti’s InTouch infotainment system, and dual-zone climate-control. Add two more driven wheels and the cash required jumps to $36,855. Opt for a more-luxurious Premium model, and you’re looking at $38,555, with another $2,000 jump if AWD is on the must-have list. The turbo cars make 208 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and thanks to the standard stop-start feature the lightest RWD models post 23 city/31 highway/26 combined EPA mileage ratings.


If, instead, you’re a fan of the 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated six paired with an electric motor — a setup that offers a combined output of 360 horsepower — you’re looking at $47,995 for a rear-driver and $49,995 for AWD. The hybrids are only available in Premium spec, which brings 19” aluminum wheels, blind-spot warning, Infiniti’s Around View parking monitor with moving-object detection, backup-collision intervention, and a forward-collision warning system.


Requested cash-dollar amounts for the hotter, 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 models, including the zoot-intender Red Sport 400, will be announced “at a later date.”
