Huh, a Fiero rally car, that's a new one. The idea of a mid engined rally car isn't that crazy, though. Perhaps the most famous mid engined rally car of all time: the Lancia Stratos, powered by a Ferrari DOHC V6.

And since we're on the subject of crazy rally cars, for anyone that's seen the Porsche 959 supercar...it was made for rally racing, mainly the Paris to Dakar race, the most brutal rally race of them all.

The street 959 was just so tame by comparison, but is one of the most sought after Porsches ever built. Sadly, none were ever brought to the US.

Pretty much. If Nascar would ever go to a chassis setup like sports/touring cars, maybe then the "stock car" name would actually make sense...

I mean, the Commodore is returning to the US as a Chevy, and GM wants it in as the Nascar entry...we've all seen the Commodore V8 Supercar race car...I can only wish Nascar would do that.
