Got this book for Christmas last year. Saw it advertised in an older Hemmings Classic Car magazine and just had to have one. It is a bit of a tricky book to get a hold of, as I believe it hasn't been published since 2017. Covers most if not all of the concept and show cars that Pontiac produced over the years. I'm currently just about finished reading chapter 7. Recommended read if you read books.

That was written by my bud Don Keefe. Keefe was the former editor of the POCI Smoke Signals magazine, prior to Tim Dye. Don was also the editor and publisher of the now defunct Poncho Perfection magazine after leaving Smoke Signals.

Don has written four books for major automotive publishing companies:

  1. Grand Prix: Pontiac's Luxury Performance Car (2007) for Enthusiast Books

  2. How to Restore Your Pontiac GTO: 1964-1974 (2012) and

  3. Pontiac Concept and Show Cars (2016), both published by CarTech.

  4. 1960-74 Pontiac Performance: The Era of the Super Duty, H.O., & Ram Air Drag & Muscle Cars, which was also published by CarTech. This was released in October 2024

Don has been nominated to the Pontiac Preservation Society's Hall of Fame 5 times.

I knew the name sounded familiar, as I believe he also writes some articles in Collectible Automobile magazine. Pretty sure I've seen the name listed as an author in the magazine. As for that Pontiac Concept cars book, I finished reading it about a month ago, and it was really a great read. I was familiar with some of the '50s show cars, but never knew anything about them, and there were some concepts I never heard of either which was cool
