BTW all I am really looking to do with it is take pics at family stuff, of me and my gf, and pics of my car. Random other stuff but I am not huge into photography. I like to take pics now and then but not all the time. Im not to artsy

I have wanted an SLR for a while now. For some reason I just dont care for point and shoots. I have used my buddies D40 before and I really liked it.

Yeah I know nothing about SLR's but seems like a good deal. Worse come to worse and you don't like it, re-sell :my2cents:

My buddy says the lense is worth about 200 so if I do decide to sell I could probably make some cash off it.
