1966 Catalina Convertible Door Hinges

Featured Replies

I need to replace the door and hood hinges. I've tried searching for these items but I only see hinges for A body vehicles. Does anyone know a good site or vendor to contact? Thanks.

Hello,

Yes, I do. He did the hood hinges on my El Camino and my 70 Catalina. They work perfectly. New rivets and pivots, if required. I'm not too sure about if he does door hinges but you can ask. Whether he has yours in stock? IDK. Have you checked the catalogs or sites for OPGI, Classic Industries or Ames Performance Engineering?

Returned in powder coat or paint, he is your guy for at least hood hinge repairs. Door hinge repairs if you have them are relatively simple. Plenty of parts are available and lots of You Tube videos on how to do the repairs.

Thanks for the information Rick. I messaged the hood hinge site.

Yes I checked OPGI, Ames, pretty much every vendor I can think of. They don't have anything for a full-size Pontiac. I'll see if the hinges can be restored. Thanks again.

I can't speak about the possibility of Willie at HoodHingeRepair.com doing your door hinges. But if you still have the hood hinges, you will not be disappointed.

National Parts Depot is another vendor I would check. Will any other B-body hinge work for you? How about a set of billet aluminum hinges?

Then there are always these places for rebuildable items of all kinds. Merely a few phone calls away for almost anything you need:

P.S. - I used to live in Louisville, the Taylor Boulevard area, Hazelwood School, Churchman Avenue - down the street from St Mary's & Elizabeth Hospital. Then moved to Owensboro, graduated from Lexington UK USAF ROTC in 1981 and been with the USAF in one way or another ever since.

I'll try those places out as well. Hopefully they have something.

It's a small world. I grew up around Newburg and now live in the Valley Station area. Seems like we have some things in common. I graduated from UofL. I won't hold your almamater against. Lol! I didn't attend ROTC but I am in the KY Air National Guard. Been in since 96.

Thank you for your service and the valuable information.

Try Frank’s Pontiac Parts in 29 Palms California. They are a Pontiac dismantler.
