stock 70 350 wondering if its safe to run 87 in it, I know back in 70 regular was higher ,thought I ask before trying it

350 V8 compression ratios ran from 9:1 to 10.25:1 originally.  Assuming your motor is stock or very lightly modified, you should be okay with 87. If you are worried, you can buy a bottle of 104+ Octane Boost and pour it in at the first sound of pinging. 
 

My 455 was rebuilt and blueprinted so I run 93-94 justa to be safe. Pre-rebuild I ran premium and octane boost. So I am saving on octane boost.

just ran out the 93 and put in 87 seems good no ping that I could hear
