Speedometer bullet and gear

Hello,

I have a 62 Bonneville that has a leaky speedometer bullet. The gear has 18 teeth, but I can only find a new gear with 19 teeth. Can I use the 19 tooth in the bullet? If so, what happens to the speedometer? ANy help would be appreciated.

Where have you looked for a new speedometer gear? Classic Industries has the brown, 18 tooth gear in their current paper catalog on pg 82 for $8.99 part number "G8796".

Thanks for your reply. I actually need the bullet and the seals I have found the gear but I need the whole thing.
