69 bonneville with disc brakes

Featured Replies

i have a 69 bonneville with disc brakes that i bought as a basket.  i am trying to get the brakes on the car and i cannot figure out how to get the calipers on correctly  if i put the left on the drivers side the bleeder valve faces up  and if i  put the right on the left side the bleeder valve faces down  i am trying to find someone who has a car like mine so i can get some front and back pix of the front spindles with brakes installed so i can find the correct way for the hoses and the bleeders   help

Is the car equipped with front disc brakes from the factory..??

If so...The bleeder fittings Will Always be on the top (facing up) of the calipers...When they are installed correctly...

That is pretty much universal for any disc brake equipped vehicle...

i do not know it came to me in a basket    everything seems to go together ok  the rebuilt calipers that came with the car do not slide into the brackets the ears are a little too wide but i am sure a little grinding will remedy the problem

Two Lane nailed it.   Bleeders are always facing up. thats where the air bubbles hang out in the system.
