The Last Pontiac

Featured Replies

I follow the Pontiac Transportation Museum on Instagram, and was really happy to see they have the final Pontiac ever built! There was a story circulating last year about how the final Pontiac built ended up wrecked beyond repair, well that story led to further investigation and the discovery of the actual last car built.

Yes, I am slight ashamed that I thought the last 2 two had been wrecked and totally. Fortunately that was not the case.

Lotta debate on this one.  While in the past, last run was done and then the KEEPER car with all the employees signatures was run.  Thinking the story behind the last car being wrecked could be true and GM let the Keeper car go.  We may never know?

No it is NOT 3......

GM did let the keeper car go. That is the one Tim Dye tracked down in Kansas after it was sold by Avis or National. It's now part of the PTM. We know it's the keeper since there are line worker signatures in the trunk under the spare tire, probably in other places too but they have not disassembled the car to look for them.
