The 19th annual Back to the Bricks starts Monday, August 7th with a week long set of tune up parties, followed by the main even week the following week.

Monday, August 7th, we will be in Davison at The HUB. Come out and enjoy a DJ from 4:00-
8:00 PM, and a 50/50 drawing for charity. Shirts will be given out under the Huntington Bank

Tuesday, August 8th, the fun will be at Flushing A and City Park, with a DJ from 4:00-8:00PM,
and a 50/50 drawing for charity. There are many shops within a block or two. Shirts will be given

Wednesday, August 9th, we will be in Linden. DJ from 4:00-8:00PM, and a 50/50 drawing for
charity.  Public parking at Hyatt Elementary school. Enjoy food from food trucks, Kona Ice, and
the Linden Hotel. Shirts will be given out under the Huntington Bank tent. Staging at Linden

Thursday, August 10th, we will be in Downtown Fenton from 4:00-8:00PM. Fenton’s Back to the
Bricks Tune Up Event is better than ever, with so many things to do in downtown that night.
While you are there, enjoy the local restaurants and shops, musical sounds by DJ Kool,
Vendors, Farmers market and more! Shirts will be given out under the Huntington Bank tent.

Friday, August 11th, we will be in Birch Run for the first time during Tune Up week at the Birch
Run Speedway. There will be a 50/50 drawing for charity. Park on the Track and enjoy the

Saturday, August 12th, we will be in Mt. Morris from 3:00-10:00. The first 100 cars receive dash
plates. There will be a DJ from 3:00-6:00 PM and a live band from 6:00-10:00 PM. Enjoy food
trucks, and more, and a 50/50 drawing for charity. Over 20 awards will be given at 6:45 so be
sure to register by 4:00. Shirts will be given out under the Huntington Bank tent.

On Friday, I was at the Pontiac Transportation Museum. I spoke to Pastor Jones, a well respected civic leader in Pontiac. He told me that Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels will be playing live in downtown Pontiac on Friday, August 18th. He asked Pastor Jones if the Widetrackers will be there. Oh yeah Mitch!

First Back to the Bricks tune up party is tonight, in my own backyard. I'm heading out there tonight to see what's what. Chance of rain today too.

Back to the Bricks Main Events start today. Rolling cruises run on Wednesday and Thursday. Anyone in?

We will be at the M1 Concourse for Woodward this weekend.

Don't know if I can squeeze in a test run with the Bird today?  NOT going that far for a test run.  Sorry.   Crossed fingers everythings a go for next weekend.  Looks like high 70's for Friday and High 80's for Saturday.  Partly cloudy.  Glad the 90's are holding off til Sunday.

Dream Cruise Day 1 is here!!!!!  Leaving in an hour.  Worked on the car til 1:30 last night. Draggin ass this AM. Meeting Beth N Mike in search of a T shirt N dash Plaque for this Year.  Frosty is in a carshow at the M1.  Waiting to see When JustaG6 N IndymanJoe can get down there, after work.   Hope my temp problem is solved.  Only one way to find out. 

Need to take out a lil more timing, But it ran great!  No Temp problem, ran about 170 max, but it's a perfect cloudless, breezy day here in the 70's.  Cruisin is on..... We went down just past the fairgrounds (4 lanes 16mi) turned around to cruise the 4 lanes north side of Woodward  and back up to Pontiac.  Found my Tshirt N dash plaque tent at 12mi.  (same as last year) Many Hotrods mixed in with normal Fri working group.  Will only get bigger and badder through tomorrow night.  Short scenic drive to Flint and you start all over with their celebration of American Iron.  Great day to be a carguy/gal here.

Happy Dream Cruise Day.

Whatta day.  15 min into Dream Cruise Day, hadn't even caught up with the group, nor touched a wheel to Woodward AVE,,,,,AND..... Got a freakin ticket.    Cut me some slack but still a $115 ticket.  Gonna see if I can get points taken off N JUSTA pay the ticket.  Great to hang out with the gang.  Gonna take a break N watch the rest on TV.  Will mess with pic's later.

17 over, hit me for 5 over.  At the airport,  There is all of a 1/2 mi of open land, so he hides behind the hangers.  Had some trouble getting to the Pontiac Museum for shots with the mural.  Joe had some trouble and swapped out his coil. Seemed to solve the puzzle  Vanna,  Lil more confusion on finding our parking spot. But all came together for a most excellent adventure.  Unfortunately JustaG6  had gone out for a cruise and Indy had to leave for a bit too.  Noticed a helicopter hangin around, the Bird, Mikes Rivera and Black Beauty made the channel 7 coverage of the dream cruise,  All 4 seconds of it,  

I made it home thanks to a spare distributer i keep in the trunk! stole the coil out and was running in 15 mins. stopped at mazzas's for a spare to keep on hand. And i still beat you guys to the venue LOL what a great day indeed. The sunbird was a huge hit at the show everyone was doing double takes LOL glad to see her back on the road and all your late night thrashing paid off.

At one point had a fairly large crowd around the car and these two priceless lil boys.  Saw my Hotwheels banner and the one said DAAAAAD  this ones a HotWheels car.  This is my favorite!!  His brother said NO this is MY favorite and the crowd starting getting into the kids, so I leaned in N hit the hydraulics to  raise the hood.  Moment in time..... Both boys mouth's wide open, people are now takin pic's of them.   I didn't have my camera.  Dad bent over and said WOW it went up all by itself,  couldn't help myself and said NO ya gotta push the button.    If I would have had the GTO, would have had all kinds of stickers, sunglasses to give the kids, in the trunk that never ends.

Anybody...everybody this is the place to post your Dream Cruise photo's to share with the underprivileged members here that don't have shows like this around them.  Yes you can make a friends whole day with a couple of your pic's.  For JUSTA .60 a day, less than a NORMAL cup of coffee you can save.....SORRY wrong commercial. Nevermind.  Post up anyway Michigan cruisers.

Great pics, JustA. You should be pleased the cop gave you a ticket with the lesser fine. If you're polite to them, they will normally give you a break. I'm told they are actually human.

I went for a drive today and our wonderful local Highway Patrol was on the side of the road pulling over caravanners to make sure the tow car's towball load wasn't exceeded. The scumbag petty crims are running around doing whatever they want, and this is what we are paying police for??? Easy revenue, I s'pose.

The cop kept staring at Enzo, you could see him melting and wanted to say something about the puppy, but was too busy playin BILLY BADASS.  Felt like sayin, last time I got a ticket, you were not even born!! I did mention the time frame and he said that came up on the computer and the reason he knocked the speed down.  Not about to get mouthy with ANY cop.  The Blower is obstruction of view, plain N simple, the car can be impounded if you get a real prick.  Just check one of the pic's from MY seat.
