This was a cool sign vendor. Each sign was $250 each. I bought one. Anyone want to guess which one I bought? I saw at least 2 more that I'd like to buy for the garage mahal.

This one is for Justa - a Munsters TV show car. I love the Mooneyes back window!

This enclosed dragster reminded me of the old TV Tommy Ivo 4-engine Buick Wagon car.

 

First time I've ever seen a tricked out Dodge Rampage before. It looked sharp.

That's a good guess. The GTO might have been a good one as well. But you'd be wrong. It was this one....

I use to work for AC Spark Plug Division of GM when I first graduated from college back in 1983.

I also liked the Hurst, Buick, and Pontiac signs along with the Coyote/Roadrunner Mopar signs. The GTO sign was sold when I came back to buy the AC sign. The AC sign was the only one he had. So I'm glad I grabbed it. It's going to be hung up in the garage mahal.

Actually it is, and it was built by Barris. Granted, it is not the one used most often but it was used in at least one episode. It is not the Munster's Koach or Drag-u-la.

Grampa built Dragula to get the coach back. That Herman lost in a race, to one of Eddies friends, loud mouth Dad.  Not gonna say the COBO car wasn't in an episode, but I've never seen that car before.

Not in the Munsters, Not Barris built.  Sorry, you posted the pic cause you know I'm a Munster fan but I would have remembered this car.   Actually it's local...Howell   and for Sale.  His signage was mis- representing  Munster and Barris.                                                                                                                                                        1923 Ford Touring-rat rod-custom- barris style munster coach.

1923 Ford Touring Street Rod . Car was originally built in Arizona over 40 plus years ago. Has 350 small block, auto trans.,Mickey thompson rear tires, front motorcycle wheels & tires, removable one piece top with Moon eyes theme, and AM-FM Cassette mounted in floor compartment. Car was sitting as a display piece and has been recently tuned up, runs and drives fine around the neighborhood. Please ask any and all questions before bidding. One of my favorite vendors - Speed Cult - they have CNC cut metal (some of it is stainless steel) by the pound. I have several of their Pontiac items, many of which I still need to paint.

Well here they are, I've been holding out on you!

The Pontiac Transportation Museum was there with this Bonneville Station wagon. FP member Jim Larson was there along with fellow Widetracker Steve Armstrong. They let me know that Mr and Mrs. notallthere were at the show too but I never caught up with them. Pity.

Pro-Touring Trans Am

Bit of Pontiac history in this car boys. This is the infamous "ringer" GTO that Jim Wangers gave to Car and Driver for the famous Pontiac GTO vs Ferrari GTO showdown article. Instead of a 389, it had a 421 HO with tri-power installed in it by Pontiac Engineering and then it was sent to Royal Pontiac for their "Royal Bobcat" package and tuning. The car is also supposedly undefeated on Woodward Avenue street racing. This car was restored by Scott Tiemann's Supercar Specialties shop in Portland Michigan.

Here we have a one of none, although Pontiac Engineering did build some Pontiac "El Camino"/ute prototypes that never saw the light of day in production. This was actually built using a Catalina wagon. Still a very cool treatment.

 

3rd Gen TA

The owner of this beautiful Grand Prix just got this out of Virginia a few weeks ago, as is. Apparently the seller didn't want to part with it but his wife listed it in the auction listing, unbeknownst to him. He asked the buyer 10 times if he really wanted to buy it before it was loaded onto the trailer. Apparently it was one of his favorite driver cars in the collection. The car is gorgeous. The hood is fiberglass. They are looking for an original metal one.

I have to agree that it was a job well done. I love the paint color. Subtle yet bold. The metal work was well executed. I thought the 8-lug wheels were a really nice touch.

Would like to meet you guys also!! July 11th is Goodguys Nats weekend in Columbus and I believe the show in June is NSRA York weekend which are both booked! I was planning on Pontiac Nationals until dates came out and on weekend of wifes 70 birthday! The dream cruise may be an option! Will have to see!! Easier if I can cross the boarder, also Frankenmuth is a possability!

What a pity they never put that Catalina ute into production - way cool. I also liked the roof chop on this Bel Air - a brave move to mess with a classic but it looks fabulous.

Dream Cruise is the biggest N best in the world.  Heading North to Flint we have another HUGE cruise going on called Back To the bricks.  Continuning North, Birch Run is the Outlet exit. Gonna make your wife squeel.  After Woodward...you get used to the squeeling.  Now you make your way to Frankenmuth.  About an hour drive from the Northern end of Woodward in Pontiac.
