Opinions Needed - New vs Rebuilt Tilt Column

Recommended Posts

I learnt that you position the nut then start it backwards slowly just a little bit. If you're having a good day, the nut will fall into the thread like it's supposed to and you're on. I also now know that a thread will stretch as you tighten the nut, thereby guaranteeing it will stay there. Obviously, each time you undo that nut you need to exercise a little more care as you transition the nut from stretched thread to regular thread. Frosty, I hope you're taking notes! Don't you love how all the advice & knowledge bubbles up from the crew AFTER the event?

Everywhere else is called polite words for "you big dummy - you royally f**ked that one up big time, didn't ya!"!
