I was at The Game. I am a season ticket holder for the University of Michigan. I've had tickets since I was a student back in the early 80s. Yesterday was another legendary game in the greatest college football rivalry. That game often determines the Big 10 conference champion, and this year was no different. The winner wins the Big 10 East Division and gets to play in the Big 10 Conference Game next week in Indianapolis. So here are some photos from "The Game".

Final score! Victory formation!

The crowd storms the field after the win! OSU gets off the field quickly while Michigan fans celebrate. In my heyday, we would tear the goal posts down. No such behavior today!

With the victory, Michigan wins the Big 10 East Division and a spot in the Big 10 Championship game next Saturday against the Iowa Hawkeyes.

It snowed the entire game. Traffic was bad leaving Ann Arbor. What normal takes 60-90 minutes to get home after a game, took me a record 4 hours and 15 minutes to get home. Between the gridlock and slow moving traffic just to get out of Ann Arbor. Traffic on the expressways were extraordinarily slow due to the first snow fall of the year (no one seems to remember how to drive in snow this time of the year for some reason). So speeds ranges from 3 - 25 mph most of the way home, with at least 4 accidents on the way home. It was a bit of a nightmare getting home! However, I got home safe and sound!

It was a long day, including the tailgate party before the game, but it was well worth it!

Big 10 champs!!!!

Michigan routed Iowa on Saturday in the Big Ten championship game, 42–3, likely cementing the Wolverines' status in the College Football Playoff. And as they did, the team wore a jersey patch honoring the recent victims of the recent Oxford High School shooting.

Among them was Oxford football player Tate Myre, who was a junior running back/linebacker and wore No. 42. His jersey number was featured on the patch.

“We wanted to play for 42 and all those that tragically lost their lives in that community and everything," Michigan center Andrew Vastardis said, per the Detroit News. “It's up to God, man. We scored 42 points, man. So it just kind of—gave me chills when I noticed that.”  They also put up 42 against Ohio!

A 15-year-old opened fire at Oxford on Tuesday, killing four high schoolers and injuring seven others. The suspect is in custody. The suspect's parents were also taken into custody early Saturday morning.

Might as well mention the LIONs,  try as hard as they could, they could NOT give this game away. Completing a pass with no time left on the clock, for the win.  1 - 11 - 1 Record is in the books.

You realize with a record of 1-11-1 that it is a palindrome record (for the moment). They will screw that up too. I'm not a fan of the gray home uniforms either.

Michigan had a convincing win over Iowa. Michigan remained #2 in the country on Sunday, leaving them to play #3 Georgia on Dec. 31 in the Orange Bowl. #1 Alabama plays #4 Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl.

Interestingly enough all of the state of Michigan's Division-1 FBS schools are going to a bowl game. I honestly don't remember the last time that happened.

12/18 - Eastern Michigan vs Liberty - Lending Tree Bowl

12/27 - Western Michigan vs Nevada - Quick Lane Bowl

12/30 - #11 Michigan State vs #13 Pittsburgh - Peach Bowl

12/31 - Central Michigan vs Boise State - Arizona Bowl

12/31 - #2 Michigan vs #3 Georgia - Orange Bowl (College Football Playoff semi-final game)
