I just received a personal email that the 2020 Charleston (WV) Boulevard Rod Run and Doo Wop has been cancelled for this year because of thie COVID-19 pandemic. This was a car show that I would not miss either. I had the privledge of meeting stratman for the first time last year, I've met up with GE there in the past and making a whole host of friends there too.

According to their Facebook page, this is the list of obstacles the City of Charleston wanted them to over come in order to host the show. Bottom line it was not possible to satisfy all this criteria - especially in the few remaining weeks before the show. This show requires a full year to plan and produce. The show field extends for well over a mile along Kanawha Blvd, along the levy.

Any event right now, I would not want to host. Too much responsibility.

Also being in FL where we just had 10k positive cases and I'm immune-compromised, I'm barely going out now.

Yikes. Yeah, we are suppose to restart our local Friday night cruise next week. With MIchigan starting to rise again in COVID cases, I'm questioning that decision and beleive me I want to get out and do things as much as anyone else, especially cars. I just question if it is the right thing to do.
