Seeking information on these sick sunglasses I found today while thrifting!

Recommended Posts

So today while thrifting in downtown omaha Nebraska I came across these super sweet Pontiac fire bird sunglasses in a random thrift/ resale shop for 10 bucks but since purchasing them I haven't been about them online anywhere! So I'm seeking some help as to when these might have been made and their origin. They are marked Taiwan R.O.C on the inside. Thanks in advance for any help!

Interesting that "Fire" and "Bird" seem to be separated. I have not seen that on marketing materials of Pontiac. Does look like it is from the late 70s or 80s if I were to guess. Actual origin or reason for these, I am unsure.
