Hi,

When I start the engine the choke works, but hot engine the choke does not stop itself.

Please give us a little more information. Does your Grand Lemans have a 2-bbl or 4-bbl carburetor? Is it the original or has it been replaced?

Pictures of your intake and carb will help too.

Have you taken any carburetor cleaner to the carb and choke assembly and thoroughly cleaned off any gunk and fuel varnish that might have accumulated on it over the last 38 years? In many cases, a sticking choke is solved by a thorough cleaning. 

If you have already tried that, let us know and we will move forward from there.
