  1. I've had my V1 for about 5 years now. It has saved my ass so many times on long road trips from South Florida to Gainesville/Jacksonville. If the X band (gas stations, alarms, supermarkets) gets too annoying in town, read the manual for how to turn it off or at least change the mode to ignore it. I hardwired the V1 in my Grand Prix. I ran the power wire from under the dash, up the a pillar, and tucked it away in the headliner. The power plug is attached with velcro to the back of the rearview mirror so that no one knows I have a radar detector when it's locked in the glove box.
  2. I just wanted to add that pulling the lower rad hose is the preferred method. Some people have had the radiator drain plug leak after it is removed and re-installed later.
  3. Someone should have talked some sense into him about that red interior. But hey, he's the rich guy. Let him spend his money however he wants. Must have been a lottery winner.
  4. I wonder if the Holden brand (Australian made) will keep on kicking for years to come. I was in New Zealand last year for a few months and I saw those sweet ass Holden cars everywhere. The Holden Commodore (re-badged as G8 here in the US) was very common on the roads of NZ. Made me want to buy a G8 when I got back here.
  5. That first vid made me a bit misty eyed. I was seriously considering buying a G8 as my next car to replace my '01 Grand Prix GTP. But now that the brand is gone, I'm starting to have eyes for other cars.
  6. Nice pics. Is that your local Grand Am club? My two best friends both had GA's like those (one black, one silver).
