I'm making a trip to see another 55 and find out the routing of the tubes, snag a few small parts and answer a few other questions about how things go together that I have on Monday.
-
Thanks but what I'm after is do the tubes go through the holes in the frame, go under the frame, inside or outside? Should have taken photos.
-
Anyone know of a diagram or photos of how the heating tubes run from the fan mounted on the firewall to the heater core under the driver's seat? I can't remember how they went from when I removed them. Thanks for the help.

I've been waiting on parts for a long time. Can't finish the interior until I get the custom made linoleum for the cargo and seat back areas. Ordered on Feb 18. Suppose to be in the mail. I received a box from Echler's Chevy yesterday that I ordered on 28 March. Crazy. Anyway I did do some interior work. Posting some catch up video's. I reinstalled all the heater/defroster parts last night. Man there's a ton of parts to that heater.

problem finding a master cylinder for my 55.
casper50 replied to casper50's topic in General Pontiac Discussion
I called California Pontiac Restoration. They said that they carry the frame mounted MC. Someone from HAMB said that they had them. THanks. -
I can find no one that lists the correct master cylinder for my 55 Chieftian. I have tried ordering 2 that say they have the correct one and both times it's one that mounts to the firewall. Mine mounts to the frame. See photo. Everyone says the one on the left fits. Mine is the one on the right. Anyone know where I can buy a new one?

Wiring question for my 55.
casper50 replied to casper50's topic in Pontiac General Discussion/Questions
Dash switch but the 57 at least shows the terminals. My diagram has the junction box next to the starter as well. My 55 had no junction box that I know of. -
I have a wiring diagram for the 55 Pontiac that I'm redoing. It shows the following wires connecting to the starter but does not show which terminals to connect them to. Help please. 1. Neutral safety switch to starter. 2. amp gauge, fuse and B terminal of horn relay to starter. 3. coil to starter. 4. battery. At least I know which one it goes to.

A bit more accomplished.

My first running car was a 67 GTO bought in 74. Loved that car. My last was a 64 vert. sold in 86. Regret that. Just ordered $3000 worth of parts. Half was in Coker WWW tire. lol.

Thank you. Wife's car. Hope she enjoys it.

A bit more progress.

The best part of redoing a vehicle is the coming together stage.

The headliner is in. Took about 10 hours messing around with it to get it to look decent.

This is the stage where you see real progress and it's getting close to the end.

Yes I found another wagon that I bought some glass and other parts from. It doesn't have the slot either. I have no idea why both my wagon and parts cars have been sliced. Will weld it up.

Thank you. I just keep plugging away at it.
