  1. I want to keep the engine as it was, a straight 8. thanks.
  2. The engine in my 33 is shot, not rebuildable. The 33 has the enclosed driveshaft. I have access to a 51 straight 8 that is a great runner with high compression. It has the 4 speed hydramatic with it. My wife wants to drive the car when it's finished so I would like to utilize the auto trans. Anyone know if it's possible to adapt the enclosed driveshaft to the hydramatic?
  3. I believe that I've found what I wanted and it's close to my buddy who will pick it up and transport it up here. I'd rather keep it the same year.
  4. Looking to buy a 50's Pontiac straight 8 with an automatic transmission.
  5. I am still looking for the following parts: bumpers seat springs wood kit hood ornament trunk parking lights tail lights air cleaner and any brackets spare tire covers hubcaps distributor starter
  6. He said that the parts I needed have been gone for awhile. Bummer.
  7. Darn. I'll keep looking for one for the 33. You don't have any other extra engine parts do you? Starter or distributor? Tail light, front fender lights bumpers?
  8. BigFoot from my research that isn't the correct air cleaner. Should look like this
  9. I should finish my daughter's this summer. Mostly waiting for her to save the money for things.
  10. No problem. I'm in no hurry. It will be next summer of fall before I start on it. I have to finish my daughter's 53 GMC first.
  11. I need tail lights, front fender lights, bumpers, bumper brackets, seats, radiator cap, grill badge, distributor, starter, air cleaner for starters.
  12. I own a 1933 Pontiac 4 door sedan that is missing a lot of parts. I have a lead on some rough bumpers and rear seat springs for a 2 door sedan. Anyone know if the rear seat for a 2 door sedan and a 4 door sedan are the same?
  13. I need the following parts for the 33. both seats bumpers and bumper irons starter distributor radiator cap (I know expensive), lol Thanks I have a cheap way to get large parts up to Alaska so no problem there. I also still need an ignition switch for a 55 Pontiac. I have a cylinder and key so if your's doesn't have a key I can still make it work.
  14. At the most radical it will be a resto rod. I've found the rims. Lost a bid on the radiator cap last night on ebay. another will show. Bumpers no leads as of yet but I have time. I won't be able to begin on it until spring at least. Have to finish the 53 GMC first. I only do one at a time. That way the current project always gets finished and not pushed to a back burner.
  15. It came from Michigan when I bought it to restore. Hauled it all the way up here. 6 or 7 years ago.
