Yes, I saw that thread, but the green wheel in the picture will not be used. I have an NOS white ‘60 Pontiac steering wheel and horn ring that will be going on the car.

That's amazing........ Couldn't imagine you NOT showin off in this thread. Your custom work is to be admired. Can't believe this thread didn't take off like crazy.

Also helping the widow of a late close friend of mine liquidate his accumulation of mostly Pontiac items. Pictures are from our flea market stand today.

Can’t say for sure it’s an original color, as the car has a 400 with Tri-Power , but it sure looks period correct!

Went to the Nats East today. We’ve been going ever since it was held in Timonium, MD in the mid-70’s. It used to be open to pre-1949 but when the numbers dropped from the near 5000 cars in it’s heyday to almost half that, they opened it up to a 30 year old sliding scale to encourage more participation.
Although it is not the event that it used to be, there is still plenty to see. Not many old Pontiacs but there were a few “late models” in attendance.

Borrowing this thread idea from the HAMB.
Through the years, Pontiac had many different interesting dashboard styles, from the art-deco look of the ‘30’s up to the last years of production.Let’s take a look at what you have, what you like, and what you have seen, original or modified.
Here’s my ‘59 Bonneville dash to start.

Frosty, the exhaust on Mickey Thompson’s Challenger I was my inspiration. Although not a direct copy, I tried to have a similar look with the hard slice cut pipe. The 442 tips ( flea market find) received a harder than original angle cut and I feel gives the end of the pipe a more finished look.
The sides of the gas tank cover will eventually be modified to accommodate the tailpipes better.

My interest and acquisition of all of the Pontiacs I have owned over the years started with my father’s attraction to the brand. The 1950 coupe pictured was only one of a number of them he had. The rest included a ‘57, 2 ‘59 Catalina’s, a ‘60 Catalina, a ‘62 Bonneville, ‘63 Bonneville, ‘65 Catalina, and a ‘72 Grand Ville convertible.
To me, Pontiacs always had better style, interiors, handling, and powertrains than their competitors. In fact, in the 1960’s BMW stated that they would like to be the “Pontiac” of Europe. They eventually borrowed their now famous tagline “The ultimate driving machine” from 1967 GTO commercials.
I have had a variety of Pontiacs leading up to the ‘31 and ‘59 I currently own. Unfortunately I couldn’t keep them all. They were traded or sold in order to finance the next one. Would certainly love to have all of them back! Here’s a few pics.
