  1. Only you would notice the car hoods Ringo -  :lol2:  Good on ya! My wife actually told me to park there for the same reason?

There were others there, even a Lemans. Nothing like right after the show and listening to the beautiful music of muscle cranking up to leave. As for clean, this was the weekend before the show. Started Friday night at 8:00PM and ended Sunday afternoon at 5:00PM

  2. Snagged some new front wheel well liners because mines waz crackin. I hope to get that done this weekend.  Should be an easy replacement. Shipping on those was as much as the parts.    So I have the AEM methanol kit install and new tune scheduled for August 6-7. Dr. Dave from DDMWorks will also install my AEM Boost and Failsafe gauges in their A-pillar pod. Hope I can at least hit 320hp with that upgrade. I am going to replace the plugs in the car before that as well. Only wish there was someone close that could (would, actually) do the intake valve cleaning before my tune. BMW and Audi turned me down - their cars only.

  3. Can't wait til I come down there. SC is the plan. Everything is all set, just need my transfer at work to be approved. Funny thing is I've actually had law enforcement compliment the plate

Come'on down. Just make sure you bring a breeze with you. It's kinda hot down here right now.  :badGT:

  4. Some have run low 13's/high 12's with the stock turbo and a high end tune from either Westers or Trifecta.  I know the updated GM Performance tune will not get you there, but close.  Some with the GM tune have walked a Mustang GT or two...or three... Of course I've never done that - too dangerous.   ;)

  5. Yea. The CG V line is a heavy cutting compound, a lighter compound, a cutting polish, and a polish. So in a way it's refineing the cut, paired with the right pad. You Roxer owning a black colored car I would recommend CG black kit. I have heard good things about their product, and will be ordering that myself soon.

The saying in the detail world is to start with the least aggressive first. So save yourself some work.

Thanks JigSaw - seriously, that is an awesome job on your ride.  Really beautiful.  White looks best when it has that melting off the car look - and yours has it in spades. Thanks for the heads up on the chemical guys black kit!

  6.

I'm sorry that's a bit out of my reach

Sure thing its a long list tho.

    Mostly by Chemical Guys (CG).

    • CG Ecosmart Waterless wash
    • Nanoskin autoscrub medium synthetic clay pad with CG Clay Luber
    • CG V Line
    •   V32 heavy compound - yellow pad
    •   V34 hybrid compound - orange pad
    •   V36 cutting polish - green pad
    •   V38 final polish - white pad
    • CG Jet Seal
    • CG Butter Wet wax
    • CG White wax
    • CG V07 sprayable sealant
    • CG Glass cleaner

    Rims

    • CG Butter Wet wax (Black)
    • Heavy Metal Polish (Lip)

    Exhaust and Motor

    • Heavy Metal Polish
I used a Flex 3401 with hex logic pads

So how do like the way the CG stuff works? Is it pretty abrasive or light? I have tried PoorBoys SSR stuff and didn't like it. I've picked up Menzerna FG400 and SF4000 to see if it does a better job. I understanding it has a longer working time and not so abrasive as M105.

  7. Unfortunately I am stuck with a weird wheel/bolt pattern - 5x110 w/ offset @ 55.  That last part hurts.  The Camaro was shown because at least its GM.  nuts.gif   I was more interested in the wheel color choices shown.  I like 19s and I think the car should have come with them - its just an odd wheel/tire size making the tires more expensive.  Twenty's...um no.  But most now are either 17, 18 or 20 in stock wheels.

I really like the RPF1s - bu I cannot get them unless I do some serious modifying.  Forgestar's are decent wheels.  What I really want are the Niche Targa M130.  They are piano black and I think they are pretty killer looking rims.

  8. Noms, love it! Need to get you a better camera next though biggrin.png

Yeah, my iPhone sucks at pics. As soon as I slow down with the mods I'll have the cash.  Come on - priorities man!!   tongue.png

Neat little bugger. Get a blow off valve, these cars look so non intimidating, it will make people wonder what the hell is going on when you're next to them. lol2.gif

Needs new shoes, tho. And wheels planned?

My next feat is getting the AEM methanol injection kit and tune installed.  Parts are sitting in my garage waiting.  naughty.gif    Then its on to a bigger turbo (EFR 62/6758).

As for the wheels, that's the debate going on in my head (other than the "have you seen the size of your wallet lately?" one).  I have stock sized BFG g-Force Sport Comp-2s on order.  As for rims, I don't know whether to go with piano/gloss black, brushed, chrome or gunmetal.

I can get some Forgestar F14s in 18x8.5/18x9.5 staggered.  But I am leaning heavy on keeping it stock sized. Suggestions are welcome...
