Installing HUD in 08 Torrent Base

Recommended Posts

So, I ended up buying a 2008 Torrent Base model. I wish I'd shopped around more, as I've found out, I like the GXP models a lot more, but I'm locked into financing for 3 years, so I figure I'll just make this one more like a GXP.

My question, how would I go about installing a Heads-up Display from the GXP into my base model?

Does it have the section in the dash for the cutout? You'd need to install the mirror and servo. Wire the display to display the turn signals, radio, MPH, ect. I do believe you also need a special windshield that has some reflective property.

I don't know the specifics of the HUD in the Torrent. Sometimes GM puts these cars together using one layout and just adds stuff according to the trim, which makes adding other trim items easy. Example would be adding fog lights from the GT and GXP Grand Prixs into the base model.
