Funny you say that, mine cracked on the bottom as well, and faded to an almost pink color. ;)

I can't restore. Only replace. When I do replace It I plan on keeping the old one for the rest of my life as like memorabilia.

Why can't you restore it? It's pot metal but you can have it rechromed and repainted. Actually a lot of guys swear by using Testor's model car paint (red, black, and white mainly) for restoring weather/time faded emblems. The enamel paint holds up reasonably well, and it is cheap enough that you can re-do it every year (if you had to). A little clear coat over the paint might help it last even longer. The trick is to do the proper cleaning, prep, and masking as you paint each color.

Finally, those arrowheads tended to be a common part. I would be surprised if you could get a used one from a western salvage yard from some other car, or perhaps it is re-poped for classic A, F, & B body car. Might even be available for a '73 GTO Ventura car. Just a thought.

My generation, and the upcoming one makes me rage...

On the bright side, they are the reason I am motivated to make a difference in this world. No matter how big or small, if I can positively impact the community I live in, I'm doing better than the majority of my generation.

This article made me consider a lot of things: here!

"We are the people our parents warned us about!" - Jimmy Buffett

That Penn State article pissed me off a bit....but I think that would take us way, way, way off topic thread here. So I will shut up.
