This just in from BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet, who has just attended a National Chevrolet Dealer's meeting where among other things, the upcoming "Camaro Z28" or "HP Edition" model was confirmed and discussed!

Here are the confirmed details from the meeting:

Production begins January 1, 2012

Internally referred to as the "HP Edition" model (it was not actually referred to as "Z28" during the meeting)

6.2L supercharged engine

Magnetic Ride suspension

285F / 330R tires

Hood design to have louvre/slat design seen in spy photos (dealers in attendance were shown a gray Z28 model)

Slight (not major) updates to the interior, with some brighter trimwork

As for the 2012 Camaro generally, the 45th anniversary edition (which we discussed here) will be for both coupe and convertible models. It will come in carbon flash color with all black interior and unique wheels.

Well I'm a member of Camaro5 and got an email today and the "HP Edition" aka Z28 Camaro is a GO!

Good news to hear that meetings are happening with GM dealers about this news!

;)

why not? and would they look any different?

Because I test drove one and I didn't like it. I didn't like the gauges down by the shifter and the tiny windows and the wide rear end.

The windows aren't that bad as everyone says, you can easily get used to them (what I hear from everyone who has one) but they are small I agree. The gauges you can just not get an RS or 2 package :P but I like the gauges verses most cars not having them. The wide car is just the styling of a camaro, I personally like.

The Camaro is just like any car, you like it or you don't lol. I'm glad everyone has different tastes because it makes it easier for me to get one ;)
