🛠️ What You Should Know

• The site will be offline briefly during the upgrade - should take less than an hour. We’ll post a notice with exact timing but we're looking at Saturday (6/21) 8am - 9am Eastern time. Till then, you can use the community per normal without any fear of anything getting lost or changed.
• Your account, posts, and content will remain safe and unchanged.
• Some areas may look different, but everything you’re used to doing will still be there (just improved!).

Yes, you can click your display name and then "Mark all content as read":

You can also mark individual forums as read when viewing the forum.

the one thing that really stands out with the "upgrade"

the web pages looks busy !... maybe too busy ....

as in double ups on access to other pages etc ....

and clearly white is the new black but can it be toned down ? or the front colour be upped ?

oh !!! and can you save our gif settings so we dont have to hunt allllll the way down to find our custom fp ones ?

we used to be able to hit the gif thing and our fav would pop up

Assume you're viewing on a computer? If so, yeah, that is an unfortunate side effect of the sidebar navigation. I'm hoping that usefulness of that overcomes the busy feeling. We'll see. I'm not adverse to changing it back to a classic navigation at the top but do like that it is expanded and you see everything.

Ah, you must not be a vampire like me and have your computers/devices already in dark mode 🤣. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can change our site manually to dark mode by clicking the moon looking icon:

Yeah, this is one of my biggest complaints and others too for the vendor. The system emoji management got crossed with our custom emojis and there is no management of that, no recently used, etc... Fighting the big battle to get some control here. I really don't want to have to write my own 🤣

Well clicking the moon helped. I think it will take time for most of us to get used to, change always does bro. I hate everything computer based, so you already know I'll have questions as time goes on. But let me say thank you Ringo, for the update and the time you spend on this site that brings all of us together bro. It is truly appreciated.

Ringo, have you have you noticed any content thats changed ???

i justA went back and looked at a post i made in march about the smash i was in and noticed my wording was copied multipule times,,, i went in and edited it so it was sorted but then i went into my garge and one of my cars is missing its pic and a random pic is in its place !

Yeah, the garage application went from being one by a third party author to now one that I wrote. The migration was successful but I am noticing that pictures are a little off. I still have the old info so just need to patch it up. If anyone else is missing a photo, let me know.

EDIT: Should be fixed now, @64 kiwi boni . You had now default photo it seems so I had to select one.

So they added a feature to disable the native device emoji so I disabled those and now our custom emoji are more accessible.

Yes, if you edit your vehicle, you can scroll to the bottom where it says "Default Image" and then there should be a radio button there so you can select the image you want to be the default and shown to users first:

After reading about profile pic's being changed, I looked at my profile and most all of my pic's are now gone. From albums and garage. Alot of those were pic's I thought were safely stored here. Most of the originals were lost on crashing computers over the years. Not at all happy.

Sorry that you’re seeing missing images. Do you have a URL to the garage in question? We have backups so should be able to restore it, long as it didn’t happen years ago.

Alternatively, like with what happened with Kiwi something may have went wrong but I still have that data so can get it corrected super quickly.
