Made some progress! Looks like I will have to stretch the chassis about 12". Still tacking and aligning the extended cab section.

Will be able to attach the extended cab section once it is on the new chassis. Lots of wood to replace with steel before that happens.

Thanks for saving another one!

Been awhile, but progress has been made! Got it totally disassembled. I blasted the cab, started making the floor structure, and squared up the rockers and roof. The extended cab section lines up better than I hoped it would.

I cut out the wheel wells to put in the bed sides. I plan on using the lower section of the doors I removed to fill in most of the space. That should help form the bottom body line and start the curve so I have a good place to start from

Picked up a couple hood ornaments at a swap meet and found a pair of license plates in the next booth! The 28 is a motometer base.

Update! Got tired of working on the body so switched to the chassis. Extended the frame 24" to center the wheels in the fender openings. That required moving the torsion bars and crossmember. Fabricated the core support brackets, motor mounts, torsion arm brackets, transmission mount and 4 of the 6 body mounts. An 04 Z71 sort of fell into my lap, so that drivetrain is now in my 34.
