Define 'worth'. What do you want to do with it? How solid is it? a 04 Arizona car is a very different animal than a 04 from Mishican.;) If you want a daily driver, it's a pretty good place to start. If you want to set quarter mile records, not so much. It you want an eye turning low rider, bagged on 22s, it's a lousy choice. If you just want to embarrass a few Civic owners, that's definitely within the realms of possibility.  Off roading? Probably not.

 

And that's all before you even start talking budget.  Yeah, your wallet size and what percentage there of you can spare are important considerations before you start loading the parts cannon. More projects die from a lack of fiscal responsibility than mechanical ability. Then there's the time budget. Some projects are done in a weekend. Some take years. Many appear on Craigslist unfinished simply because the owner got tired of the cow milking him.
