hood tach

hello again folks.. another 1 for you ...how does one run ""2"" ..RPM...TACHS ...I have a new high performance one that is bang on , but i can,t get the hood tach to work as well ? it,s one or the other not both , how do i get hood tach working as well ? thank you

A tach's rpm signal comes from either the coil or a signal terminal on an HEI distributor. So I would have the signal wires for both tachs come off the same signal point, thus making them parallel circuits. Obviously you also have to do the proper grounding and other wiring for each tach as well.
