  1. Yes it was a good show and always good to meet fellow Pontiacer's!!

I have not put the Lemans into points judged since '05 so the awards bestowed on it were truly unexpected. I was honored to see she still holding here own.

    Now to the good stuff...

...It's always great meet fellow Pontiacer's at events but for me it's even better to meet up with fellow Cammers,

  2. I finally sorted some of my pictures.

The following group of Pontiac's are seen less and less with each passing year.

To see this many used to be the norm, now it's a full on treat.

    ...Pre War https://flic.kr/s/aHsmFo27G7

    Enjoy!

    Still sorting...

  3. IIRC Your '65 Bonnie is just like the A-Bodies, It has small clips under the arm keeping them secured to the spline shaft.

You need one of those $9 Wiper Arm Removal Tools, this will assist in lifting the arm off.

Some will say you can use a screw driver and thats fine it you don't care about your paint.

    Cheers

  4. PLEASE STAND BY...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  ...While we Inspect, Clean & Adjust our Brakes...                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        ...You may now resume regular driving, Funny how the simplest of task can burn up a whole afternoon😉

  5. WELCOME!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             That is a great choice, First Year of the WIDE TRACK PONTIAC's.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             They are huge cars and very hard to find parts for. My friend had a stunning all original and it was amazing.                                                                                                                                                  Best of luck with your quest. Cheers.

  6. Been slowing freshening up for Gettysburg and picking off my list I decided to freshen up the Ol Trunk that was looking very well used, As it Should ;)  This came about after securing a more age appropriate storage case for some of my tools.  Also over a several month period I was able to collected enough of the correct plastic safety cap nuts for the emblem pins that were install by the factory originally. These little SOB's are a one year only size for the '66 Lemans quarter letters. I lost track on how many I bought off line to find decent ones to use. Now on to the next list item...

  7. I may not be on the right track but it sounds like your looking for the seal and/or gasket that goes between the quarter panel and quarter panel "extension" IIRC there should be a thin seal between them but not 100% sure of this and if any of the big suppliers offer them. If this is what your after and you fall short of locating a set, 3M strip caulk would be a very good option to seal these parts.   Cheers

  8. We had a fair numbers of Pontiac's on hand at the cruise and one across the way caught my eye,                                                                                                                                                                    Thought you guys would get a kick out of this El' Pontolet or El Ponino  😉                                                                                                                                                                                                                        It was a very well put together car with Front Clip. Drive-line & Interior. He was still working on some details but IMO it was well done.                                                                                                                       Cheers

  9. Not sure I would refer to it as Famous, but a somewhat well known car for sure! It was thought to be some sort of Pontiac Promotional build/scheme but very little is known about it and/or it's whereabouts. Like most Pontiac "Special Build" Promotional cars it likely was returned to PMD and fell through the cracks if not stripped/scrapped and/or re-purposed.

Items of note are the "Tempest" Flat hood and the Light Up eyes within the Tiger Face hood mural. Also seen in 1st images is the noted Tiger Tail.

As seen on TV, beyond that unaware of any further details.

    Cheers

  10. The switch assembly sounds to be out of adjustment, this switch is mounted on the shifter assembly and is adjustable. It's been years since I've had an AT '66 so I don't recall if you can access/adjust the switch by just removing the indicator plate (Pry up gently) or if the console needs to come out. Check you service manual it will have the details for this. If you don't have a service manual, You should.

  11. Well spring has sprung and we couldn't have asked for better weather for our annual season opener.   Like many our recent weather has been all over the map with severe Rain, Wind, Hail add in a few Tornado warnings and this was just on Friday ;)   Well yesterday MOM nature gave us a gift. It was nice to get the '66 out and meet up with fellow car buddies and soak up some sun 😎         In the past it has rained and/or snowed at this event so with that said please enjoy a few of my show favorites.

  12. Frosty,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        It was indeed a fantasy build. The Aussie driving it was a funny old Bloke and did a real nice job on it.                                                                                                                                                         Cheers.

  13. Welcome aboard!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Nice Project Base.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    You might consider joining POCI, http://www.poci.org/ that will put you in contact with all the right leads for vintage iron parts.                                                                                                                                                      Cheers.

  14. HOWDY GANG, Just back from a 4 day weekend over in Austin TX. I needed some car time and since VA weather is taking her sweet ass time making up her mind I decided warmer weather was needed, also just another excuse to go over and play with the Ol Tempest Torque Tuber ;) We had a blast, this was a pleasant surprise of a gathering as I wasn't sure what we were in for. Below are some of the Pontiacer's we encountered and the link it to a load of some of my favorites at the gathering. Cheers & Enjoy!
