  1. Some good ideas for a Bonnie upgrade! https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am10/automobiles-of-amelia-island/lots/r251-1964-pontiac-bonneville-hank-williams-jr-custom-convertible/279936
  2. Just in case anyone is wondering, a big family can drive to pickup an 11’ tree in a ‘64 Bonneville! We had some serious looks on the road. Who needs a truck when you have a Bonneville trunk?
  3. Another big win at the car show. This time we won with the second Bonnie. We took both cars which was a big hit. Very unusual to see two ‘64 Convertibles together. The 59 Cadillac was awesome. I think We won people over with inviting them in for pictures.
  4. I know Gene bought the parts from Fatsco.net. They are knowledgeable and easy to talk to with questions. Gene, my transmission guy is old school with no apparent email but his website is restorationhydromatics.com.
  5. Seems like a deal. The Big question would be if there is rust issues.
  6. Super cool treasure find! I found a mint 1964 quarter under the dash. A 1966 quarter also. Pulling the dash on Bonneville 2 so I can install the rebuilt clock. Also adding led lights to match Bonneville 1.
  7. Not a big fan of the aftermarket bling but I do like this underglow light package. I needed 2 to make it all the way around the car. These pictures do not do it justice. It allows you to select light chase settings with their phone app. It will make the car dance! Simple zip tie to car frame install. 12 power connection.
  8. Big thank your Chris for the gift package! Super nice of you. The Taupo plate is awesome! Thanks again!
  9. I bought this rubber on Amazon. You can see I slipped it in place on second groove and cut off the extra behind it.
  10. I have what looks like original stainless wipers on one Bonnie but not the other. It looks like mine are 17”. I don’t see them on Ames. I did a search on ebay and found a used pair of 17”. I know I can install new rubber myself. I would suggest searching 17” trico stainless wipers. First 4 pics are of mine and last two are what I just ordered on ebay.
  11. It seems about right. After being on a while it is easy to close
  12. I thought I had the wrong rubber installing mine because it’s so puffy the door didn’t want to close. I guess that’s normal until they flatten
  13. Darn, hate for you to send the whole thing. Thank you very much!
  14. The pleasure is all mine. I hope they clean up nicely. Thank you for answering so many of my questions through my 64 Bonnie restoration. You have been a great help. I hope we can cruise together Bonneville style some day. It is such a thrill to talk to people who looked like they’ve seen a ghost when they see the awe inspiring 64 Bonneville. It never gets old.
  15. snook, tarpon, sea bass, catfish, barracuda, jack’s, & others. We especially like to catch big 4’ snook. Here is a picture of one, off the internet not mine.
  16. Yep, round foam tubes to keep cage on top of the water. This allows you to open the lid and pull them out without them swimming away
