  1. It is not my CompG in question, rather someone I work with. He had purchased a used 03 GP GTP from an elderly couple. This last week his wife had drivin it and said it was knocking rapidly and when she pulled up to a stop light the car had stalled and died. It had started back up and she drove it to the nearest parking lot and left it afraid to drive it further from home.

They had it towed to a shop and the mechanic said the engine was blown. But it started back up after that. Oil was clean and fresh. No aftermarket mods on the car. They dont beat on it. So i was stumped as to what the problem was. I was leaning towards the timing being bad or the balance was off.

    What are your thoughts?

  2. So yesterday my wife was looking at cars for sale on the interwebz, she found a very beautiful chieftain for sale (obviously way out of my price range). Anyway it got me thinking, if Pontiac were to come back (or never got shut down in the first place) what would the chief look like today in a new model. Would it be boxy and boat-like from the past, or would it go the way of the times and become slender and sleak? I know a lot of youse guys and gals on here play with Photoshop and what not. I would very much like to see what you all could come up with, and what your opinions would be on the classic!

  3. I think its funny that everyone one is paying attention to gm, yeah they knew about it, but now there is a civil against ford for there rear hatches being made of junk material and ford new about it for years. Toyota has had serious issues with the sticky gas pedal, much more dangerous. Maybe if drivers ed would teach these kids how to handle this shit like losing power then it wouldn't be so bad.

  4. I did some checking on the web and they are just for looks, i want to do a coolant switch soon, its got dex in it (not from me) flush it out and clean it. Its not so much the engine is getting super hot its normal temp, just under the hood, i was thinking vents, but i don't want to cut on the body that much. Also i know that there needs to be a certain amount of pressure for the radiator to function properly.
