My wagon is back!!!

I feel for you folks “ down under” with the steering wheel on the “ wrong” side🤣🤣🤣 and having to convert to RHD! It must be costly and hard to find RHD parts for N American vehicles? Years ago I met a couple from Australia at a POCI convention in South Carolina ( not a member any more) and heard about having to convert! -

Chris, is yours RHD? I’ve seen some CDN Pontiac’s that were shipped to Australia as Kd’s ( knock downs) and assembled there but they had Chev RHD dashboards supplied! Especially 65 and up!! Don’t know if US did the same? -

Chris, as per valuation, take your figures and double it + some ! My insurance company valued it for just under $24 grand Canadian dollars! Don’t know how that compares to NZ $ Regarding my 64 Impala 409 / 4 speed, going over there, the only thing I know is that buyer has a extensive collection of 62 to 64 Impala’s and all 4 speed cars ??? -

Biggest difference is the frame! US Pontiac has the “ Perimeter “ frame! Where as the Cdn Poncho has the ( 58 to 64) X frame from the Chevy! And all Chev drivetrain components. I was surprised to see the dimensions were the same on these two cars! -

Forgot about this one! Says “ Pontiac 327 Turbo Fire” on rocker covers but is really 010 4 bolt main 350 out to 358 with “ double bump” heads, aluminum high rise intake ( painted) and “ Lumpy “ cam -

By the door trim, yours is a Bonniville! Notice on Cdn heater control it’s a “ slide levers where as US ones have push buttons that look like 2 radio in dash! Added a short video of it running and hopefully you can hear the “ Lumpy “ camshaft! Dash basically the same but clock is a bit different! I that converted to quartz by “ The Clock Works “ in Wisconsin and just had the 74 Grandville one done! Excellent workmanship and great ! IMG_2748.mov service and shipping -

I’m looking at a 64 US sales brochure I have and appears Catalina and Bonniville wagons have same overall length (213.8” ) and Wheel base , WB is 1” shorter on both wagons,( 119” ) than the other non wagon models . I’ll get my “ specs for Cdn wagon and compare and get back to you. If the same then assume your right🤞🤞🤞 -

Sure no problem once I get finished putting mechanical fan on, only has electric one , guy lost the fan blade as I didn’t get it back on! 64 Impala 409 went to NZ early last summer ! Before rate’s went crazy! Is your Safari a US model or Canuck! If US there’s a ton of differences!!! -

Of course you do, but you’ll have to wait till I can’t push clutch pedal anymore or left leg falls off!🤣🤣🤣🤣 -
Your close!! I'd say late 46 to 48, [possibly 41 & late 42] but rear fenders look like the later ones?? Not 49 as complete body change to the "shoebox body" 49 to 51

Had the call from broker that bought it a year ago for first crack at buying it back as he had 6 cars ready to ship to NZ and shipping costs rose to quadruple ffom when Impala went, buyers backed out and I " figured" he's in a jam!! Said " make me a decent offer" so I did [ less than I sold it for] SOLD!! He even had it shipped by flat bed back here and it was still in my name, BONUS! Paint had been wet sanded, buffed and ceramic coated, looks better than when it went!!! Canadian Pontiac, has 355 SBC, thumper "cam", Holley 650, BW T10 4 speed & 355 POSI and frt. Disc brakes

I went through this in 2017 and lost2 cars & from what I can see this is DONE!! Intense heat seized the rear ends in both cars, 52 Pontiac Torpedo back and 69 Cutlass convertible + the transmissions melted [aluminum] Unfortunately this is too far gone and I feel for you Pete

74 Grandville heater/AC parts
dualquadpete replied to dualquadpete's topic in For Sale / Want To Buy
With the state of economic conditions in both our countries ( recession ) sponsors are reluctant for donations of door prizes or $$ , and insurance is prohibitive if you can even find a place for a show or cruise in! My Twp here has almost tripled rental rates for park/ community centres where some of above were held and require proof of insurance! -

That’s the usual date but I’ll check for sure! Think Rusty is getting burnt out on the FOP show as volunteers are few and far between! -
74 Grandville heater/AC parts
dualquadpete replied to dualquadpete's topic in For Sale / Want To Buy
Found them! Frosty sent a list of wreckers to try, Franks was no help at all and would only sell complete heater/AC assembly but CTC Auto Ranch in Texas was great! Called me back with pictures of ductwork still in car, pulled them Monday and I had them shipped to friends in WV and arrived Thursday as they are coming here in 2 weeks. I figured out that a previous owner removed ductwork to install stereo speakers under dash! Will be relocating those or see if original ones are still there?? Thanks Dennis!!! -
Help!! On tearing dash apart, I’m missing the vent tube from heat/ ac box to upper left dash vent + the centre floor vent grille! Could be the same for F/S Chev, Buick etc. I called Frank’s Pontiac but got a “ flat NO” unless I bought “ complete pkg including all heater and A/C unit as a package”I think tube might be black plastic with flat spot to go under strg column! Round at heater and square at vent end?
