  1. Hey Frosty, Hope all is going well for you!! I'm looking for a couple of the single wire metal instrument cluster bulb sockets !! I went to Fall Hershey and had a great time, but also a Senior Moment and never looked for any!🤪 If anybody has just a couple I will be happy to pay! Thanks, Wayne
  2. Well what a Great show at Frankenmuth Auto Fest!! Thousands of cars, Thousands of spectators, Great Vendors and People! I drove the 64 Bonney over 900 miles round trip Penn Yan,NY to Buffalo, picked up my friend Rich and onward thru Canada!! No problems at the Boarders and smooth sailing! Watched our BILLS destroy LA 😝 Thursday and ready for the show Friday! Block Party was insane, but got a place on a corner next to a group of GTO's ! Saturday was Great, because I finally met this guy named FROSTY !!🤣 It was a pleasure to meet up with you and talk and get to know a little bit about you!! If you have never met this gentlemen then go out of your way ! Won't find a nicer guy!! Cruised the street Saturday afternoon and evening and had a Ball !! Took alot of Video and the guys back here in NY were Blown away!! This Show will now be on our must go list!!
  3. Speaking of suspension work, I bought a set of Aldan All American coilover adjustable shocks for the front of my Bonney! They are listed on their website as vehicle specific 1964 Pontiac Bonneville either a 450 lb. spring rate or 550lb. spring weight. I went with the heavier 550's ! Got them installed before York NSRA and they seemed fine, but I had a squeak in the front. Well, I figured out that I needed upper control arm bushings !! My mechanic, helper couldn't get them in till after Columbus Goodguys so I drove anyways and had no problems! We put in the bushings and lowered the car and still had an awful sqwak, squeak in the front end. We took it all apart and found the the coilover spring was hitting the tabs that center spring in the upper pocket!! The sent the wrong springs! So after several phone calls and explaining they sent me another set of coil springs! Tore it apart and grabbed the new springs and YEAP The same ones as before. Well nasty e-mail, several phone calls, they called me back and basically admitted they don't make the right spring! Needs to be 4" inside diameter to fit in the pocket! They were going to send me an adapter that may work?? Then they called me back and said they have a Truck spring that has a 4.1" inside diameter, same length, same spring weight ! I told them to send those and Now I wait for them to get here! Of course they put a charge on my credit card and they will credit it back when I send the wrong springs back!! So I guess I'm the only guy in the world that has bought a set of these coilovers, because this is the First that they have heard of it. I'll be contacting Summitt Racing ( who I bought them through to start with ) and explain the situation with hopes that they will correct the Problem. I'll let you know how the new Truck spring fits !! On another note I just tore the A/C duct work out from under my dash!! Went to Buffalo,NY yesterday for a car show with friends and traveling up the thruway, 70-72 mph air blowing cold, stereo blasting everything is fine! Stop to get gas and went in to P and came back out opened the door and the smoke is just rolling out of the car ! Damn! Didn't smell like burnt stuff then I spotted the Green stuff on the passenger floor ! Hose/ crimp gave out! This is a Vintage air unit and it is a tight fit and this hose is a bear to get out! So the 72 year old kid will be under the dash removing the hose and hope to get a new one made up next week!! FUN !
  4. Can you weld another bolt to the broken one and try to remove that way? I had to do that once after going thru everything you did! Good luck!
  5. Man I feel your pain!! Been there and done that, but the long drive will help him chill out!! If he has any problems that might happen near me let me know !! Wayne
  6. Let me know ahead of time where you might be !! I'll try to work it out!!
  7. Thanks for the info ! I'll keep you guy's posted!
  8. Would like to meet you guys also!! July 11th is Goodguys Nats weekend in Columbus and I believe the show in June is NSRA York weekend which are both booked! I was planning on Pontiac Nationals until dates came out and on weekend of wifes 70 birthday! The dream cruise may be an option! Will have to see!! Easier if I can cross the boarder, also Frankenmuth is a possability!
  9. Was all set to go to Detroit, Then all my friends cancelled !! Looked like a good show. Any shows this coming summer, fall? Wayne
  10. Man that Sucks Frosty!! Good luck with a die to rethread! Maybe a metric die might help! then a similar nut!! Other than the guy on the other End!!🤣 When you heading to WV? Whats your route? Wayne
  11. I drove it last night for about 40 minutes and no flicker! Hi Beams were awesome I could see for miles and miles and miles !!😁
  12. Hey I finally got my Octane LED's installed! WOW can I see where I'm going !! Haven't been out at night for a long time, but came back from my sons soccer game and lights were GREAT! Thanks for the info!🤩
  13. Yeah so am I ! Woke up this morning to over 3" of water in my basement!! Had fire department pump it out, but lots of damage! I installed a new sump pump that I got so hope that will help!
  14. Well I'll be FM proof this year! Have to pull the plug on the Muth!😒 Too much moving issues and trying to get a house ready to sell, but I will get back there!!
  15. No I'm Bonner's Proof, but not Flea Market Proof !!🤣
  16. Been to Frankenmuth several times!! Stayed at the Bavarian Inn, but this year maybe at the Hampton Birch Run!! Spent alot of Time at the Brewery on northern part of street! Even parked there during the street show!! Winner, Winner Zender's Chicken Dinners !!
  17. I thought that was what I was getting!! Did you use the bulbs that came in your headlights or change to the ones that were in the kit Well I'm still planning to will be sure when it gets closer!! Have rooms, but not a wife deal! She hates car shows!😝
  18. They finally emailed me and said that what was cracked was the cover that are suppose to be removed from bulbs? ok I'll go with that, but I can't plug into the blue white bulbs that came with the kit, so I'll have to use the super bright bulbs that are attached to the kit I received and they look like they are permanently attached? I tried to get one bulb off but no moving so I didn't force the issue. I have not installed yet, but when I do I'll let you know. In the process of moving so things are hectic!!
  19. Frosty, I just got the box open and what they sent me doesn't look like yours! One of the bulbs was cracked and I tried to call them and all I get is message to push 1,2,3,ect. when I do I get a recording that the mailbox has not been set up and cant take messages and then hangs up!! I hope they didn't go out of business. What a pain in the ass. If it could happen to someone IT'S ME !! I'll send a picture as soon as it loads to my computer. send me a text 5857274739 and I'll show you faster! I have rooms at Birch Run, depends on our moving situation!!
  20. No I haven't they recieved the HID's on Monday the 5th, but said they don't process returns till Friday??? They shipped LED's on Monday the 12th so I'm waiting! Maybe I'll have them for Frankenmuth!!🤣
  21. Okay I figured it out with a little help from Octane! They sent the HID kit which is a Bear to install, instead of the LED kit. I've sent back the wiring for the HID and they will send me the Plug and play LED!!
  22. Frosty, I bought the unit for my Bonneville, but man am I confused? The headlights have bulbs already in them, and separate bulbs also. They say drill a hole in back of headlights?? Give me alittle guidence when you get a chance! Thanks, Wayne
  23. Frosty, lights look great!! Where did you get them? would like to use on my 64 Bonney!! Wayne
