  1. Have been looking too...every search has come up zero so far...I'm going to contact my 86 year old Pontiac/Packard guru Uncle in the next couple days...He has been collecting/restoring/buying/selling/driving..etc.. Pontiacs and Packards  for over 60 years (all models and body styles)...If anyone would know...He will...(Hopefully)

  2. Most of the younger people (20/30 somethings) that I know are not even slightly interested in cars for any reason other than utilitarian transportation...Let alone interested in collecting them...With the current political/Climate change indoctrination and the Forced change to electric cars...I see the collectable car hobby as we know it...Dying a slow horrible death over the next 20 to 30 years...(As we age out) at the same time fossil fuels are being phased out... Becoming harder to get and prohibitively expensive... For the average person to afford even if they wanted to collect cars...I see the signs of it happening already...For example The Charlotte Auto fare used to be the premier show/swap meet here in the Southeast is now just a shell of its former self...It is a quarter of the size it was just 10 years ago and the interest/attendance is less and less every year...Most of the attendees that I see are 40 and over with fewer and fewer younger than that...Same thing with racing..75% of the participants at our venue (Bowman Gray Stadium) are second and third generations of the same families who have been doing it for years...With no new influx or interest from the younger generations of those same families...As they cannot be pryed away from their electronic devices long enough to even go outdoors or socialize with each other in person...Let alone be even remotely interested in evil Dinosaur juice powered cars...Maybe I'm wrong...But only time will tell...

  3. Agree with Frosty...

Fourth gen F bodies are not really known for sagging doors...The doors are actually not very heavy compared to some of the previous generations...I have personally seen only one (96 Camaro) with Sagging Doors... The fiberglass had cracked around the hinges/inside steel reinforcing plate where they bolt through on the front of the door (can be really hard to spot without a fine tooth comb close inspection)...Most likely due to a previous accident...Or someone letting it repeatedly bounce against hinges...While sitting on an unlevel surface when opening the door....

A couple of questions. Are you doors fiberglass or steel (at the hinge)? Is it sagging at the hinges or from the door itself?

There are door and hinge pin kits readily available from the likes of Rock Auto.com and the other catalogs. They are all pretty much the same. Sometimes it is the pin / pin bushing that needs to be replaced, other times the whole hinge needs to be replaced.

The question regarding the door material is this. If the door is primarily fiberglass, the fiberglass around the hinges may need to be reinforced to prevent future sagging. Generally speaking metal doors do not sag unless the metal has been fatigued in some manner or damaged. So close inspection of the door is needed here.

  4. Absolutely... Anyone who will Knowingly/Intentionally turn a Chevrolet Straight Six engine 7000 or more RPMs...(Thats just Downright Mean)....Has to be a Certified Sadist...I have seen my share of Catastrophic engine Failures through the years...But never one so Completely Destroyed as this one was...

This happened back in 2010/11  The car owner/driver was an Overly Privileged 17/18 year old kid...Who was Completely funded by his Grandpa... Who had way more money than sense...I'm 99% sure that I have pics of the carnage on one of these old phones...

Would it still be possible to to access/transfer any pics from these phones....???
