What if Pontiac was offered as a limited edition or exclusive release, say take the Camaro and do the Trans Am conversion? Or the CTS-V and offer an old name badge?

Looks soooo good. OH for the love of PONTIAC!
Thank you Steve. I really like the way this car is coming together. I purchased the filler piece that covers the space between the radiator support and the front nose to direct even more air thru the radiator. She ran around town all day at 185 degrees with the new clutch fan. Wither the old flex fan, Quieter, smoother running too.

Between the inner valence support bracket that has the plate bracket mounts on it and the plate bracket itself, that's $100. $40 in powder coating, $40 in decals. $10 for the plate, $10 for mounting hardware. The good thing is, I got good parts and did the job right so hopefully I don't have to deal with it again. The fan, used, $60. My friend has a sandblasting cabinet and I just bought lunch for its use. some masking tape and a good black enamel, again, mounting hardware. So maybe $100 in the fan.
NOW you know why these cars are demanding so much money!!!

Just for looks, it was a rare option on the car as well. You gotta really love this restoration stuff, after all the parts, powdercoating, hardware, decals, and the plate my total ticket was close to $200 just to say I have a front plate on the car. lol. We gotta be out of our minds.

So this weeks completed projects on the GTO as follows:
Made a new set of spark plug wires that wern't 6-8 inches too long.
Located, purchased, restored (sandblasted, repainted) an original radiator fan and clutch. Replaced a very noisy flex fan.
Bought all the brackets to provide a place to mount a front license plate and had them powdercoated. I installed a plate of my own layout and design.

Richard Rawlings is a straight up punk! A man is only as good as his word and he broke it numerous times.

Justin bought Marty Palbykin's car over on the Performance Years forum. That car was already set up for a twin turbo mill so it should be an easy conversion. Cheif is on that forum as well if your looking to keep up with the latest news on his new door car and the Cro Mod.

The hoarder in me says YES! but i'm tired of looking at stuff i dont need..LOL
If you are worried about the hoarding aspect, Buy another, send out for conversion or buy one converted, swap them and then sell the first one and recoup some of your money. AND not be a hoarder. I like hanging on to that kind of stuff as it is getting scarce. I bought an extra power trunk release just because.

I can pull the dash pretty fast as i have done it quite a few times adding stuff lol I did find the correct way to adjust the time mechanism.i'll post a pic..
If your not OCD as I am, then let it ride and just correct the time once you get to the car show.

indianmanjoe, I see your reply that you got the info from me thru PY. cool. You might want to consider sending that rally clock off to get the quartz conversion done while you already have it out. My 68 that I used to own had the non quartz and I found myself resetting the time everytime I got in the car. The quartz action greatly improves time accuracy. ALSO anyone looking for these clocks a reminder that the 1968 models will have a blued face instead of a black face like all of the other years. All black gauges and one blur gauge is a no no. lol. Nice looking clock Joe.
Todays after work project. So I bought a triple gauge set to mount to the bottom side of the dash. I have the factory rally gauges in the dash but the accuracy and size of readout do NOT give me a warm and fuzzy about my engines vitals. So its mounted but I need a bit more hardware to hook up the sensors to the engine.

So I was lucky enough to gather with some Poncho fans and friends this weekend at a local car show and it was really all I wanted for my 52nd birthday. One of my good friends Kevin dropped in with his 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge. Yes its real, numbers matching, 4 speed Ram Air 3. Restored with nothing but original or NOS parts, its a thing of beauty. The weather was perfect, my GTO is running like a champ, and the time away from "the grind" was much needed. Make sure you make the most of your time with your friends and family.

No bragging needed sir. Your list of items doesn't happen that often I've yet to see a tornado and in 50 years I think I've experienced 5 hurricanes and 4 were in one year. No flooding yet. bugs are everywhere. And you aren't allowed to use the word "devil" apparently its anti christian. They are just the Rays now.
Now Dennis? How many years in your lifetime has it NOT snowed? and/or dropped below freezing? How many months do you NOT get to drive your baby?

Wade Kawasaki's GTO. He's the president? of Coker Tire. They did a nice write up on the restoration of this car restored by Bodie Stroud a few months back in Hemmings Motor News. http://bodiestroud.com/builds/510-here-comes-the-judge.html

So back under the car working on restoring the chassis up to my standard so everything striped to bare metal, primered and recoated in some form of restoration paint. Rotors, calipers, frame, control arms, coils, sway bars, inner fender wells, etc.
also discovered that elusive engine knock that has been kicking my butt for months, thank GOD it wasn't internal. A cracked lower crankshaft accessory drive pulley. Wrong bolts and no reinforcement ring used caused cracks around 3 out of 4 of the pulley bolts. This will be another upcoming project after I restore the other fenderwell and order a new pulley.
