I had the same thing happen with another one of my vehicles. Come to find out the problem was a simple fix. New battery cables and a new battery.

I think they meant what state do you live in? For example. My car, even with all that has been done to it, is only worth about $6000 in my area due to lack of popularity. But in California (and I have already had a few offers from there though I would never sell my car) its worth about $10,000.

I would think that light surface rust would not harm the integrity of the metal. However, if it was me, I would take the worse area, sand it or blast it down just a bit and see what it looks like. If the worse area looks like its savable, the rest should be just fine.

Not knowing much about that type vehicle. But whenever something quits putting out heat the first thing I think of is replacing the heater core.

On the new engine and tranny? 7500. On the car itself? 52,000

Just bought my dream car last week. It is now at my mechanic's getting a tune up (where these photos where taken. Not the best quality but my insurance company was asking for them so they could insure it as a classic car). I bought it from its original owner who took really good care of it. 1984 T/A. After it's out of the shop, I will be sending it to a local detailer. The interior needs a cleaning and the outside needs a shining. The interior is in good shape just a little dirty from everyday use. The engine is not original. The 305 went bad so he replaced it with a custom made 350 EFI and a 400 turbo with a shift kit. Needless to say, it is probably more car than I will ever need but it's sure fun. My friend asked me "What kind of gas milage does it get?" My reply was "When you own a muscle car, Michelle, you don't think about your gas mileage" LOL!
