i "think" he did a line Hone...my crude measurements suggest this. i ordered a clyoes timing chain today so i will see what happens when it gets here in a few days....i looked over all my receipts from "vic's" and no where does he include a timing chain.. i guess i cant complain to much as i have put alot of miles on this motor since 2014. And it has ran pretty good. hoping my new cam choice and other incidentals will get me moving out a bit faster.

found some slop in my timing chain, finding out double rollers may not be the best. on a side note the cam degreeing went really well. learned alot. took me all weekend but I can do it in no time now. when I get the new chain ill do it again..have measure some stuff because of the line bore so will need .05 .10 undersized. chain...

17 hours ago, Fitzy said:Sorry about the late response. I flew home this morning and am still in Ga Ga Land through lack of sleep...and beer. My contract ran out as a Warehouse Officer and so I have gone back to driving a coach on Groote Eylandt.
I haven't even looked at the car since I mucked around with the leads. I am about to throw in the towel and sell it. So if anyone wants a very well priced 65 GP which is practically mechanically rebuilt and is 100% rust free, let me know.
You missed April 1st by a mile...

How long have you had the car? A filter change and refill could be in the cards. Hard to tell in pic but the trans fluid should be very red. Slow engagement could be low fluid as well.

do you have adjustable upper control arms? if the rear isnt centered that can make it easier to do so. its why i went with adjustable that and to adjust pinion angles.

Thanks again Frosty for the picker! yes i have the engine stand and picker hooked up. the wife is in my garage as well as the Master, Remi the boss. it would take a lot of Michelle to make this thing fall. Michelle is very much a bull in a china shop type of person and i really dont want her to get hurt.
