So often in the autoverse, we find ourselves saying that a car (or truck) was created before its time, like the funky Subaru trucks of yesteryear, for example. But in the case of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky, it seems that sometimes a car can come along a little after its time.
The Sky was a valiant try at a performance car by Saturn and the Solstice the first attempt at a two-seat sports-car sequel to the ill-fated Pontiac Fiero. Sadly, though, by the time General Motors greenlit the two muscle roadsters as part of an ill-fated attempt to save its two dying divisions, the credits for the movie were already cued up and the show was just too close to over to change the ending. Despite being around for only a handful of years, they made their mark as two of the most underrated convertibles in American automotive history. The following is everything you need to know about the brief but brightly shining lights that were the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky.

These are built on the Camaro, yet the article mentions the Camaro is going away in the first slide.

Same here, did ATL to Beijing 7 years after you . Just remember how long that flight was. Slept 8 hours and then still had at least another 5 to go.

J J Web's 1967 Lemans
QuoteHello! I am user J J Web and I would like to nominate my 1967 Pontiac LeMans for the May 2024 Pontiac of the month. My LeMans and I have been together since 1990 and I am the second owner. Believe it or not, this was my first car. When I aquired my LeMans it had it's numbers matching drivetrain and was in great shape. In fact the interior is original with the exception of the carpet to this day. Body has been gone over and repainted in it's original Verdoro Green hue about 30 years ago. Verdoro Green is a very rare special paint option for A Body Pontiacs in 1967. I got to hear from the original owner of how he came to choose and special order this vehicle. I added the GTO hood and tach when it was painted. I have since made many modifications to drivetrain and chassis over the years. A 400ci engine attached to a TH400 transmission turns a 3.55 posi rear end. Motor is mildly built with a Ram Air cam and roller valve train. Ram Air system is also functional. Suspension and steering have been upgraded and 4 wheel disc brakes added. I hope to add a dual gate shifter and console this summer. I hope you dig my car and consider it for POM!
