I was going to ask you how the colors were in Michigan this year. Is there a "go to" place in MI for fall colors?

The fall colors really didn't come out until recently. It was due to the warm temperatures in the early fall and lack of a hard freeze until recently. So the last two weeks we have seen most of the color and then "boom", a rapid falling of leaves.

There is no one particular picturesque spot. A lot of people like to take fall color tours to northern lower Michigan as well as in the upper peninsula, usually taking back roads near one of the many inland or Great Lakes. We have the Great Lakes Circle Tour (see link below). Many state parks and the Manistee National Forest would provide excellent photo opportunities as well. Michigan.org also lists some very popular fall color tour routes - especially near many of the urban areas.

Thanks for posting those links, Frosty. If I was up there, I would definitely take some or all of those circle tours.

Still pretty cool to see Air Force One! Remember many years ago during the Obama years, saw it take off from Hartford airport.

Additionally, here is a video from a coworker in Chicago for the Blue Angels flyover:

Shook the house and all I got to see was the vapor trails.

Back in 2010 / 2011 while I was working at the Chrysler Tech center in Auburn Hills - when Obama was doing his "fly around and visit the auto maker's plants" tour - when one day I went outside of the building and watched AF1 either heading to or leaving (I forget now) the Detroit Metro airport. If I recall correctly, Obama was visiting the Sterling Heights Chrysler plant (~20 mins away from the tech center) at that time.

Got a hole in the radiator. It is an unknown aftermarket aluminum radiator (was in it when I bought it), it took awhile to find someone who could weld it. Got her back last week, so far so good.

The boss and I decided to splurge on a mutual anniversary gift for each other. We sprang for row 3 seats to the Beach Boys concert at Meadowbrook Amphitheater Friday night. John Stamis. Uncle Jesse from the TV show Full House, was also performing with them. My wife was in her glory seeing John!

They’ve performed over 6,000 live shows over their 60 year career.

I have seen all the Beach Boys at one time or another, except for Glen Campbell, over the last 40+ years. I saw Dennis Wilson at my first concert at Swan Valley High School, on the football field in August 1983. Dennis drowned the following January.

I saw Brian Wilson  and David Marks for the first time on their 50th anniversary tour in 2012. Carl Wilson died in 1998 of cancer. God Only Knows was his best song IMO.

I've seen The Beach Boys the most, followed by Jimmy Buffet, and following far behind after that is Styx and former local band, Grand Funk Railroad.

me and michelle seen the beach boys in 85? at PINE KNOB. Great show.

I’ve seen them at Pine Knob, Meadowbrook, Swan Valley High School (in Saginaw), the old Palace of Auburn Hills, and Freedom Hill (Sterling Heights).
